It is to be touched by consciousness, because it produces results such as burning, just like the fire seen before, therefore, the oneness established by imputation should be established. For that very reason, the answer will be "beginningless habit." Even the same function is due to excessive attachment to oneness. The "that" refers to the object of inference for establishing conventions, such as fire. "Not ultimately" means not oneness. If what was seen before and what is being seen are not the same in reality, then how is the function accomplished? Therefore, it is thought that ultimate oneness is the object of inference. The "that" refers to what was seen before. "Doubt" refers to "thing." If Buddhists do not have ultimate oneness, then imputation is unreasonable, if someone asks this. The answer is that even without a thing, there is a reason for imputation, which is "beginningless." If the oneness of the thing itself is not the reason for imputation, even so, the consciousness that appears as one aspect, its habit itself is the reason, and this comes from the previous consciousness that appeared as one. Therefore, up to this point, even without the oneness of things, it has been explained that imputation is with reason. Now, to explain the imputation that is preceded by things, that is, "or." That which first saw the fire, the world calls touching. If there is no oneness there, even so, because the sounds of "one" and "one" appear, it is said to be a thing. At other times, there is more attachment to the oneness seen before, and it is said to be one due to excessive attachment. For what? For the thing that can function. If it does not exist, how can there be excessive attachment? Through imputation, that is, after imputation. This explains the reasons such as "even if meaningless, for what." Because of this, the things of dharma and dharmins are unreasonable in reality. Dharma and dharmins, etc., refer to what is made and sound, etc., or form and pot, etc., that is, in sameness and otherness, it is said to be neither the same nor different.
