How is it said? "Those" refers to different kinds. "One" refers to variegated. "Other and others" refers to yellow, brown, etc., showing differences in this way. Furthermore, "many" refers to not showing the difference itself, and it is not possible to show the difference. If it is thought that generality can be shown like difference, then "generality" is mentioned. The way of showing is expressed as "that is this." Because from the clear things, generality is not other, so saying "that difference is this" is also not a response. Why? Because if there is no generality, it would follow that there are no clear things. If the clear things dissolve into generality, then they will completely disappear. If there is doubt that the clear things are not only gone, then it is said, "removing the clear things." Or if it is thought that the absence of clear things is only a wish, then "name" is said, if the clear things do not exist, then whatever is to be proven by it and contradictions, etc., will not occur here, because that is what the clear things are to prove. If it is thought that since there are no clear things, it will not become the name to be proven, just as admitting that there is no generality will also lead to the non-existence of the name of the characteristic of knowledge, speech, and non-difference, therefore it should also be admitted in the same way, then if there is doubt that removing generality, the clear things will dissolve into it, therefore it is not appropriate to say that the name to be proven by generality will not exist. Why? Because the name of the reason for the difference, which is interrupted by experiencing the wrong meaning, and the characteristic of knowledge and speech being non-different also exist. Without the clear things, the result of contradictions, etc., is not appropriate, but the knowledge that follows is reasonable even without generality, that is the meaning. Others will also ultimately admit that difference itself is the cause of different names, that is the meaning of "generalities, etc." The mutual difference itself of cow itself and horse, etc., generalities, etc., is the cause of different names, but not generality, because generality is without generality, this is the basis of the scripture. Or, cow itself is

Because it possesses the clarity of cow and so on, it is different from the horse itself. Similarly, the horse itself, because it possesses the clarity of horse and so on, is different from the cow itself. "Essence" means that the general commonality is not different from other commonalities. "Otherness" means possessing other appearances, meaning that it is only unchanging. However, all commonalities are different only by their own essence, and corresponding to that, because it possesses it, it is different. For example, the nature of white is different in itself, and cloth is different because it possesses it, if you think so. It is said that because it possesses white, the cloth is called white, and the difference is completely destroyed. The meaning of saying this is that the difference of such cloth will be completely destroyed, it will decay and cannot be established. White and so on are because the difference from matter is not recognized. When the metaphor decays, the meaning will also decay. If one does not think that non-difference is due to possessing different appearances, then one says "otherness." "Otherness" refers to one's own characteristics. The other is commonality and essence. When welcoming doubts, one says "commonality." The answer is "commonality." If they are merged and gathered, because they exist in both, then how do the differences in appearance relate to the commonality, and similarly, the non-difference of the commonality will also relate to the appearance. If there is no fault in non-difference? Therefore, because the appearance is non-different, the cow will also become a horse and so on. How is the appearance non-different? Because it possesses all the commonalities that have become one with the cow itself and the horse itself and so on. We say that the reason for the mutual difference between commonalities is also the return itself. Because you want to refute this, you should think that commonalities are mixed, because there is no way to establish them without mixing. Therefore, when commonalities become its nature, the commonality of the three realms will become one, and it also exists in all appearances. Therefore, the cow will also become a horse. According to your view, from where will the commonalities become different, and the appearances are also not different, saying this is "other." The commonality of the cow itself is
