No. Regarding this, the refutation of the first view is: That is not understood, because it is not certain. Why? Because possessing the generality of sound itself, the manifestation of sound cannot be understood without knowledge. Understanding manifestation from sound is also impossible. What is said as "that's" refers to the characteristic of sound itself. "Previously itself" refers to the occasion of excluding others in order to infer one's own meaning. Accepting the second view of "from others is the opposite" is: Therefore, what is said as "from sound" refers to the sound of sound, and from the sound of sound itself. Explaining the part of the verse "possessing generality or" is: If etc. Especially the characteristics of the manifestation of sound. Explaining "the knowledge of that possessing generality" etc. is: Then etc. That is possessing generality. If one also understands that possessing generality, even then does it depend on not understanding manifestation? Regarding "on what": On what should food be given, on that itself, bowls etc. are also established in the manner of placing and carrying. Without a bowl, the giving itself cannot be established. Similarly, if one understands possessing generality, one will also understand manifestation, if one does not understand, one cannot understand possessing generality. Explaining "understanding its own nature is" etc. is: Especially etc. Because of what? Because thus, those characteristics are not the meaning of sound itself. If etc. is an argument. Not understanding generality manifestation, it is not only not etc., but it is also the opposite. If there is no opposite, even if one understands wrongly, what is the use of the opposite? The opposite is understood for the purpose of understanding the wrong object. If it is not so and one understands, what is the use of the opposite? Then, in other places, what is said as "in other places" is because understanding the wrong object in other places is unreasonable. If generality, what is said as "if generality" refers to understanding the wrong object in other places is unreasonable, therefore generality itself should be understood. Understanding is the established conclusion. What is the doubt. Not the same is the established conclusion. How not the same understand

If it has been broken, can one then realize the contradiction? If one cannot realize it, then one will not enter through differentiation, this is what is meant by saying this. If it is indeed the case that there is no realization of difference, then how can one realize the contradiction? This is called "no doubt." If someone thinks, what hinders the removal (of contradiction)? The answer is given by explaining the words, "If it is not so," that is, when one has not realized the difference. If there is no universal, then is it not the case that there is no difference at all? If someone doubts how one can realize it in this way, then it is said "its," meaning to be free from what is not desired. The answer is "self." "Self" means that by its own nature, if the characteristic of fire itself does not contradict from different kinds, then even if other dharmas have a universal, it is still the same. "Thus" means to be free from different kinds. If someone doubts that even if it is not different, one realizes the difference because it has a universal, then it is said "that and." This is the characteristic of fire itself. "Thus" is different. The answer is "like that," that is, born differently from one's own cause. If one's own nature is born mixed, then at that time, if one realizes that it is not mixed by having a universal, then will it not become realizing by one's own nature? Even if it becomes so, the realization will become confused. If one realizes that it is not the same by one's own nature, then having a universal is meaningless, what is said is "by one's own nature." If someone thinks that those that appear from the universal are not becoming separate, but the universal can be known by what is produced from one's own cause, then it is said "if." "Two" refers to cow and buffalo. First, one sees one appearance of a cow, and similarly, one also sees one appearance of a buffalo, at that time, one does not realize their difference through the universal of the cow itself and the buffalo itself. The universal of the cow itself and so on is determined by seeing the second appearance and so on, but not just by seeing one appearance. The cow itself and the buffalo itself are not the ultimate result of just one appearance, the nature of similar ones is the universal, this is the scripture.
