If one does not accept this line of reasoning, then how can one accept the reasoning that there is no mind because of impermanence, etc.? If one thinks that the reason for the absence of mind is impermanence, and that this is obtained through reasoning and not through scripture, then it is said, "reasoning." If that is the case, then the Buddha would be admitting the treatises of the Samkhya. Even so, what is accomplished? The answer is: that is so. If the treatise is admitted, then for both, the nature of scripture is established, and there exists a proof of the absence of mind. Then, other than proving by the nature of scripture, establishing impermanence itself is simply not something to be done. If... this is the view of others. If it is thought that the nature of the absence of mind, etc., is to be realized by yogis and not by intellect, the answer is: this is... Furthermore, the Buddha can also speak of the nature of the absence of bliss, etc., which he himself is to prove. If one thinks that the Buddha does not have a valid cognition with the yogi as its object, then it is said, "that." When one was formerly an ordinary person, by what valid cognitions did one realize the means of cultivating the nature of impermanence, etc., and by diligently doing so, generate the root of wisdom that manifests all things, or, by the nature of realizing that meaning, the direct perception itself is the root. Those valid cognitions of proof that will arise, the Buddha is able to do those, that is, the means of cultivating the nature of moments, etc., whatever is the power of things, when the object of the arising of clearly appearing knowledge is realized, then one can admit the meaning of the object realized by the yogi, because one is capable. For the yogi who manifests the nature of the meaning seen by valid cognition, the Buddha has only valid cognition, this is the meaning. Self-established means not relying on merely cultivating impermanence. Realizing the means of that proof is the yogi's realization of the means of proof. The nature of realizing that meaning.

The so-called "perception" refers to stating the result after observing the cause. Stating the real meaning is, or it is the sense faculty (इंद्रिय,indriya,官根) itself. Regarding the establishment of realization and so on, those meanings realized by the yogis must be acknowledged as having the ability, thus connecting them. If asked: How does it change? Then connect it with "the meaning of becoming a means" and so on. Because of that, there is no establishment of impermanence and so on, what is the use of establishing proximity? There is no use at all. This is its meaning. Then, how should it be stated? The answer is: How. If so, then what establishes what needs to be established, such as not thinking before, and what is realized by this, then it should also be established for others. Even so, the Samkhya school did not state it, so the establisher does not exist. Therefore, it is said "or." Its establisher is the establisher of not thinking and so on. Here it is the absence of thought itself. The so-called "concomitant pervasion absence" means that the concomitance in the example is not pervasive. Through what meaning is established, and can be realized accordingly, then what needs to be established and the establisher is thought, thus connecting them. If asked: How to realize accordingly? The answer is: Is it the general characteristic itself? The so-called "this meaning is" refers to thinking about the absence of thought itself. It cannot be realized only through scripture, because it is inseparable from the general meaning. For this, it refers to the Samkhya school where valid cognition can enter for things that are not permanent through general and specific characteristics. That is the thought of the Purusha. The so-called "meaningful" refers to the characteristic of the sign. The so-called "non-existent" refers to the characteristic of impermanence and so on. The establisher is the absence of thought and so on. If it is said, isn't the absence of thought merely existent? Then, it will arise from the absence of the establisher, then what is the fault for knowledge? The answer is: Even if the absence of thought exists, realization is the same as no realization, it is a similar realization. Why? Because things

It is not related to signs, that is, there is no connection, meaning that the sign that is a thing does not arise, that is its meaning. If it does not exist, it means that if the desired sign does not exist, then what knowledge exists? Where does it come from? Others also, including Buddhists. For you, it is said to the Buddhists. Similarly, other Buddhists also understand, this is the connection. If you want to know what is understood, then, the argument of impermanence and so on, this is said to you Samkhyas. Even so, how is it established that there is no mind? It means, how is it established by valid cognition? For me, it is said to the Buddhists. Understanding, it means, is not with mind. Also, it is said to the Samkhyas. If it is not so, it means, if you do not admit that it is established by valid cognition. However, the Samkhyas alone say that the reason for impermanence and so on is established for you, do the Buddhists not think so? The answer is, it is the separate self-nature. Summarizing the context, it means, therefore. In this way, the language itself, which is preceded by the inference for oneself, is the inference for others, it is not other, this is certain. From that, it means, from establishing refutation. If it is not possible to determine what is to be established from that, then, what is the establishment of refutation for? The answer is, it is for the connection. Why? The answer is, because there is nothing to be established. Again, what is the refutation? The answer is, the refutation is this. Whatever indivisible oneness is admitted to exist in many things, it is not another aggregate related to the differences of objects and so on, but it is mixed with the unique clarity determined by the differences of objects, times, and places, that is, due to the emptiness of the self-nature that is not distinguished, that is, without difference. Expressing the second argument of refutation is "similarly." Why is it not another aggregate related to the differences of objects and so on? The answer is, because of what. A thing like that, it means, is the indivisible single generality related to the determined unique clarity. What other self
