I am because of non-existence. For something that is already damaged, damage is not reasonable. If that were the case, because there is no end, the argument would become an endless verbal completion. However, if someone thinks why not first state the fault of not following? Because of transcending and examining, the fault of not following is abandoned, so it is not said first. Therefore, the reason for saying "therefore" is that the basis is not established, so it is not established. Unreasonable means unable. If it is said that the subject has the ability, then at that time it will become a fault of no argument, because it is established by merely establishing the subject, so there is no need to rely on following, etc. Even so, the reason for saying "even so" is when there is no argument. Therefore, because it is unreasonable, the subject is not established as the proof of its own dharma. Why? "The subject becomes the real reason." The reason for saying this, placing the reason nearby, is because it is not established in the place of being the knower, because it is the known. If someone thinks that even if it is the known, why is it not the knower? Because the known and the knower are different. If there is not that, it is when there is no difference. Even if there is not that, if someone thinks how can it not be established? It means "manifestation." Manifestation, etc., if oneself becomes knowledge, then the pot, etc., is manifested, similarly, if the knower also knows differently from the known, then the known will become the knower, because the known is different in nature from the knower. Therefore, the reason for saying "therefore" is because there is no difference. The reason for saying "if different" is that if the proof is different from the subject, then at that time it will be thought whether there is following or not for that? For example, like the measurable. Previously, after the nature of the proof was established, the fault of the basis not being established and not following was stated, but now it is said that there is no difference. The reason for saying "just so" is just no difference. The reason for saying "therefore" is because it is not established as the knower. The reason for saying "establishment itself" is by its own nature. Similarly, for the subject, it is also thought to be established as its own proof.

The answer is "established." Like lamps and so on are established. What is hidden is impermanent. What is not hidden is not established by sound and so on. How are they different? It is like a lamp. This is what is said: If something, like a lamp, even without difference, can establish its own function, similarly, the sound as the subject of the argument is also like that. If the subject of the argument and the nature of what is to be proven are not different, then it will become the establisher of impermanence. If you think like that, then this is an arrangement made to closely illustrate the difference. Therefore, if one takes everything that is non-existent as the establisher, then at that time, it will abide as one part of the meaning of the vow. If there is no fault in everything because there is no difference, will this not happen here? This is to welcome the question of necessity: for all things, that is, sound and what is made, and so on. Saying "no" means that the faults are not the same. Why? Because it is conventional truth. For sound and what is made, there is a difference that is inferred by reversal. Therefore, what is made, which is different from the sound as the subject of the argument, makes one understand the sound with the characteristic of impermanence. If it says "if" and so on, this is a doubt. What is called "directly established" is not the establisher of what is to be proven. What is called "that" is the examination of the classification of dharmas. That also includes the lamp. If one examines through distinction, the object to be proven and the object that proves will become too extreme, which is the point of contention. This explains the former part. The part that explains the answer is "not" and so on. Starting from "the nature of the lamp" to "the lamp is the subject of the argument" is the dispute. The thought here is: if in conventional truth, sound and what is made are different, therefore the knowable and the knower are objects, then the lamp will also be changed by distinction. But if it is not here, then sound and what is made will not change either. Expressing the recognition of distinction is "having function" and so on. The state of producing results, the one producing results is "producing."
