The term "so" refers to that which comes from recognition. Because whatever a single word expresses does not belong to the caste of Brahmins, etc. The proximity of things like variegated colors. If one thinks, how can there be unity of word and clinging without a genus? It is not so. Just as the cow itself has no other reason, but from what is seen, the variegated colors themselves exist, so clinging is also like that. Similarly, the perception of form by the eyes, etc., has no other reason, but is essentially existent. But it is not so for the ears, etc., this is a metaphor. For the eyes, etc., there is only proximity, because they act together. It is not so for variegated colors, etc., to dispel this doubt, it is said, "For those who act together." Just as with the eyes, etc., for variegated colors, etc., it is also because of acting together that a single thought arises, so what is the use of a genus? The answer is, it is also so for seeing two things. The thought is also one, and even without a genus it will change. If there is no genus, how will it become one thought? To dispel this doubt, it is said, "The similar form itself," is the nature of being measurable. Saying "It is not so" is to prevent argument. Why? Because it is said "measurable." Apart from a single thought, one only focuses on the similar form itself. Therefore, that is non-existent, that is its meaning. Precisely for this reason, it is said that the eyes, etc., are a metaphor, because it is said "that is," that is, generating a single thought. Some think that for the eyes, etc., there is only the generality of generating a single thought. Therefore, to prove non-existence, how can they become metaphors? To dispel this doubt, it is said, "For them also." The answer is that the action of generating itself, apart from generating a single thought, there is nothing else, it is said, "For variegated colors, etc., also." If one thinks that generating a single thought itself is a generality, one doubts, "If it is so." Saying "It is not so" means that if there is no generality that becomes the characteristic of generating action. Even if the thought is determined by the power of the genus, then how is that itself determined?

The answer is: Well, class is also something to be done. If one accepts the statement "from other classes," then saying "there is no end" refers to "to that," which is to the class. "To differentiate" means to clarify with definite clarity, and it is the meaning of being a support. The reason for clarity is that it is differentiated from the ability itself, so in order to dispel the doubt that "it is not without end," it is greeted with "however." If that is the case, then class is meaningless, the answer is "even so, then." If it is thought that the various different minds should not be transformed into producing one mind, but rather that it is just one appearance, then one doubts "eyes etc. also." How so? Because no form appears manifestly like blue etc. If there is no generality because it does not appear, then eyes etc. will also become like that? The answer is, because the sense faculty has form, the appearance obtained from beyond the sense faculty will appear, and to show this possibility, if there is a seer of the sense faculties, then at that time his body is manifest, because it has form. Classes do not have form. Why? Because the part is clear, that is, those separated from grasping are invisible.
