It is said to be the horn of a rabbit, named the horn of a rabbit. After addressing the two doubts arising from the "manifestation" of others, it is asked, "Is it also the case for those who speak of things?" The reason for stating that others are not so is, "Because there is no dependence." That is the cow itself, and if so, then "Ona" is the speaker of an established tenet. So, how is it that the very nature of the universal of the cow itself, which is completely pervaded by conceptual thought, is? The answer is, the cow is connected by the characteristic of dependence, and thus it is connected. Therefore, even if there is no thing, there is no fault. How is it connected? Two reasons are given, named "depending on," which is depending on variegated colors and so on. Named "on that," which is on variegated colors and so on. If, whatever nature appears in conceptual thought, is that nature different or non-different? Even if it is easy, it certainly exists in variegated colors and so on, and if it were not so, how would such confusion arise? After this doubt, it is answered that the nature of that universal, for those variegated colors and so on, there is no connection of difference, nor is it non-difference, but even without the nature of difference and non-difference, it becomes such as having a nature. Because from the nature of the manifestation of the genus, it cannot be said that this is that, nor can it be said that that is that, therefore it is without self-nature. If it is without self-nature, then because there is no proximity to things, the connection of variegated colors and so on with this arises merely from intention, and is established merely by conceptual thought, and if so, it would also be connected with the horn of a rabbit, and after addressing this doubt, the difference is stated: Named "depending on the entity." Mice and livestock, etc., also, after seeing variegated colors, when seeing Kuyou, will think that that is this, and thus it appears, but not so in the case of swans, etc. The horn of a rabbit is also not closely indicated by conceptual thought arising from seeing the meaning. The kind that is closely established by conceptual thought arising from seeing the meaning, if there is convention, is expressed by sounds, and therefore the object of action of conceptual thought arising from seeing the meaning...

Saying that sounds become meaningful objects through transmission refers to the clarity that has become a special characteristic of that kind, which is the entry into meaning. Those sounds that exist from which necessities are fully revealed by them. If understanding is also like an object, how do sounds become clear objects? Because understanding is also particularly attached, it is its object. Therefore, although understanding and object are the same, it is only a clear object. Some say that the essence has become mutually different, and is established as constant through dependence. Difference is also, kind is also, and it is established through distinction. Entering into it is explained through the sounds that make understanding possible. If there is no essence, how can it be understood as having essence? However, it is said so. What is said here refers to the kind that is completely transformed by understanding. If one thinks that by understanding others, how does one enter into others? Because it is born from that. When that kind is understood, it means that the kind with self-nature can be understood. Because it is understood, it enters into various differences. That is precisely what is completely transformed by differentiated understanding. What is to be distinguished refers to others. Even if the kind has the form of essence, it is because the essence is seen. How can one be more attached to oneness together with clarity? It is not so, because one is not seen. If it is like one, is it not that the essence is not seen either? Then how is it the form of essence? The essence itself is said to be so. Then why is even one not seen? It is said that it is not seen. Because the forms of clarity and appearance are different. The established conclusion is that even if it is not seen, this is reasonable. For that, it is said so. The kind of appearance of discrimination also appears as essence, is it the form of unclear self-nature? It is called clinging to that itself in meaning, clinging together with clarity itself. If its self-nature is not established, then how does it become such an illusion? Having beginningless time.
