However, if one knows what actually happens, that is direct perception. The other is inference. Therefore, valid cognition is also established as two kinds. Therefore, it is said that the classification of valid cognition depends on completely negating extremes. Due to later writings, this depends on knowledge. Therefore, there is no second investigation. This is also not mutual indication, because it is not desired to establish two valid cognitions at first. Just because knowable things are called two, two objects are established. If that is the case, just because knowable things are called two, it should be said that there are two valid cognitions, and through that way, the object is two, and from there there are two valid cognitions, then what is the point of this lineage? Indeed, if the distinction of the object is not shown, it will be considered as one valid cognition, because it must be understood in two ways. Just like perceiving with two eyes. However, if it is thought that the things grasped by two eyes and the properties are inconsistent, and the same thing appears in a different way, then the valid cognition is different. If that is the case, then, since the form of the appearing object is different, the valid cognition is different, therefore, the classification of valid cognition will be done solely through the classification of the object, that is your thought. In order to explain "because of being able to function and not being able to function," he said "at what time" refers to generating. In general, what is able to function, and where does this particularity come from? As the commentator said, the thing that functions in some way has the ability to some extent, that is the self-characteristic, and the one that lacks all abilities is the common characteristic. If it is thought that this is also logical, then he said "because this leads to the opposite, therefore it does not operate in this way." The thought on this is that since this is the occasion for analyzing the object of valid cognition, and valid cognition should also analyze the nature of having a functioning object, because it cannot function. If desire is analyzed, what is the use? As it is said, "What is the use of a woman with desire analyzing the good or bad appearance of an impotent man?". Since non-apprehension is also the form of the nature reason, it is real.

It is not beyond the object of having seeds. If it is thought that the object of its own characteristic is manifest, and the object of the general characteristic is inference, then the two, earth and object, are established. If the general characteristic is not able to function, then inference will degenerate from being a valid cognition. It is a valid cognition in relation to the object of increased attachment, but not in relation to the object of apprehension. However, there is no obstruction to the validity of its object. Even so, if the general characteristic is spoken of, then speaking of inappropriate words is itself a fault. Furthermore, if it is said that the inability to function is itself the nature of the general characteristic, then sound and so on will also become general characteristics. If it is thought that it is not included in the general because it does not follow in appearance and anything, even so, it is very close to being a characteristic in relation to other differences. Therefore, the three objects
