In all times and places, to despise recognition, doubts arise such as "How could this be?" To dispel these doubts, it is explained that only by relying on "I" does valid cognition follow, and it is irreversible. This is the meaning of "only by relying on I." It should be understood as "knowing merely by relying on I." Even so, knowledge depends on "I." If one determines validity from somewhere, then the term 'valid cognition' necessarily depends on non-deception. Even if it is established that knowledge is non-deceptive, if this knowledge depends on "I," it will become valid cognition; if not, it will not. Such a statement is unbearable even for those with understanding. To illustrate this, it is "from the view onwards." Merely wanting to express the agent and action as objects is not something that "I" can establish, because it cannot determine the true nature of things. Since there is a desire to express the aggregate of heaps as the agent, and to express a part of it as knowledge, what else is needed? Knowledge itself is the agent, and the similar one is the action, it will also be explained this way. "No-self" belongs to others. "I" combines with mind, and mind with mind, as well as things called faculties, etc., which depend on change in time, and knowing things, thinking that "I" will not become impermanent, this is a collection of doubt and inversion. This was previously shown, and now it is explained. If one relies on non-deception, what is the use of relying on "I"? Because knowledge is impermanent, but since it arises from the power of what immediately follows, etc., it is not contradictory to possess non-deception. Therefore, even in direct perception and inference, where there is "I," it is not a valid cognition that possesses non-deception. What you said, "That is also impossible to exist," refers to the former and the latter. To summarize from where it was derived, therefore it says, "Therefore, knowledge." It does not understand the meaning of "knowledge is the result of a cause." If someone temporarily understands, then what fault is there in understanding it as the result itself? Therefore it says, "Knowledge." "I" and its object of knowledge appear as seven, it is knowledge. Only that is knowledge,

What is said is to cut off, that is, it speaks of the nature of before and after. The nature of the former and the latter, for the cause and effect themselves, is not directly entered into. Seeing that there is an opportunity to prevent direct entry, what others say is "then." The effect is realized by direct perception, and before that effect is the cause, which is inferred by inference. Therefore, the nature of the former and the latter is not unknowable. The so-called "from that" refers to what is realized by inference. The answer is "that inference also." Connect "that inference also, does not enter." For what? For the object to be established that is not fully realized by direct perception. It means that because pervasiveness is not established. If it is said that other inferences will hold pervasiveness? The answer is, it speaks of "previous direct perception." This direct perception holds the meaning of wanting to appear as my effect, and of things that appear together and are present in front. For things that want to appear as cause, the previous direct perception is valid. When the nature of the former and the latter, direct perception is not valid, then other inferences do not exist, because it depends on holding pervasiveness. If it is understood as "for this, there was no other inference before," then it will become endless. In this way, knowledge and knowable things, being the nature of cause and effect, this sect is excluded. For the sect where knowable things are the effect of knowledge, if it does not exist as the effect of knowledge, then that is the fault itself. However, if it exists by other things, then at that time also, "without other effects arising, one's mind will not change regarding the existence of the effect," this is the correct reasoning. Most people do not say that, therefore, even if this sect is not directly pointed out, they want to eliminate that conceptualization by some means, so they say "effects and so on are measurable." Most people, due to worldly fame, actually think that the causes and effects of external objects are real. It means that it is not established. The so-called "effects and so on" are the nature of dharma. For the external dharma, the measurable of the effect itself and so on
