If one does not understand, others will not understand either. Explaining this is "If one understands," and so on. How can it be so clear? It is "form, etc." and so on. Because understanding one thing, others will surely be understood, so how can there be a fault here? What is the intention? "The holder itself" means that it is not what is held. If, because it is the holder, then when recalling, does the held also have recollection? The answer is, it is said in general terms. If it is said that because of recognition, a term is used, how is it self-awareness? Because of clinging to being recognized by others, the answer is, "I" said it this way. That consciousness will be held by others, but it is not recognized by its own nature, this is what is meant. Furthermore, how is it thought that the previous consciousness has ceased? The answer is, "That" is said, which is consciousness. Because what is held, the nature of the previous experience has also ceased. If it is said that although there is no nature of previous experience, but even so, it is only experience, the answer is, "One's own absence" is said in this way. Then, is the second experience my nature, is it knowledge? The answer is, "One's own nature also" is said in this way. "That" refers to one's own essence. If it is admitted that knowledge will become the aspect of an object, then its self-awareness should be admitted, therefore, what is desired is established. If it is said that the aspect of an object is only a wish, but it is experienced by others, the answer is, "Without end" is said in this way. Because it is explained in the manner of refutation. Stating one's own fault is "If," and so on. Consciousness is also considered to be a general entity, in order to eliminate such doubts, the refutation stated in the commentary is, "Consciousness" is said in this way. When memory holds consciousness, it will also appear inwardly because it is mine. Like that, it refers to facing outwards. This also, refers to that consciousness not directly holding, because its own nature is different. Like that, facing outwards, how to refute the unwanted view? It is also said otherwise, which is "different," and so on. Like that, it means not being different from the holder. Even if the object is the same

It is with regard to form and taste, etc. If it is thought that the grasped and the grasper are mixed, and therefore cannot be distinguished, then it is said to be mixed. For example, like holding a ball shape. If it is said that everything becomes useless, then the meaning is that if the aspect of the object is not experienced, then it is not experiencing the object either. One's own words are made up, and explained from the Commentary on Valid Cognition, saying, if it is so. The object appears in its own nature. The so-called "that" means that the aspect of that itself is the experience of meaning. Even if there is no self-awareness in its function, the meaning will not become consciousness. If it is said that if there is no self-awareness, how can it be consciousness? The answer is, it is because of other-awareness. If it is thought that consciousness is the characteristic of consciousness, then how can it become consciousness without it? The answer is, it is because of the object. The so-called "I" is the view of the Samkhya school. That is self-awareness, not the nature of consciousness. Therefore, self-awareness is not the characteristic of consciousness, because it is mistaken. The so-called "other" is through an aspect similar to the other. The so-called "at that time also" is even if it is only the aspect of that. The so-called "declaration of that" means only the aspect of that. If it is thought that the explanation of combination or the eternal self or the one who abides everywhere, which is said by others, is itself consciousness, therefore the aspect of the object cannot be the other, because it does not abide on the self. The answer to this is that that is also not possible. When another effort arises from one effort, then the two efforts will become consciousness to each other. How can abiding on the self be known and understood? Because the self cannot be understood. If it cannot be distinguished, then its nature will also be understood as different from the two consciousnesses, but it is not so, if the support is not understood, the supported cannot be understood. For that reason, these three, that is, the two consciousnesses and the self, these three. To clarify this, it is said that if the self is not understood. The so-called form, etc., are pots, etc. Therefore, if the self is not understood, then at that time form, etc., will also be understood as dependent on it. From then on,
