The so-called "those" refers to other things obscured by dimness, which are also equally confused. If it is thought that only truth is seen in these things, how can they be confused? (Answer:) It is called confusion. The so-called "both also" refers to whichever of the two people who experience the color of peacock feathers. The fire observed by the practitioner who is considered confused is that. Even if the ashes on the ground are not seen, the essence of the thing is not lost, which indicates that it is not to prevent others from thinking so. Because there is no such understanding that it is both fire and cannot burn. The so-called "not like this" refers to the non-external. The so-called "like this" refers to the external. It speaks of the worldly terms of other worlds. If it is thought that it does not depend on worldly terms, then there is no meaning at that time, how can it be uncomfortable? This is the result of thinking. The so-called "the thing itself also" means that experience must be undoubtedly acknowledged, if not, then the thing itself should not be acknowledged either. Even if the experienced thing is acknowledged, everything is self-awareness, because other is unreasonable. The so-called "to that" refers to in the darkness. The expression for this is "the same collection." If that is the case, it is not, meaning that in the dark situation, the vase does not exist. The so-called "such nature" means that if it is thought that only the collection of lamp flames is the cause, the expression for this is "not so." Blue and so on are not only attached to relying on yellow and so on, because they are also attached to the unique. Similarly, the flame will also be attached without a lamp. Others say so. Temporarily, when blue and yellow are recognized at the same time, then the functions of both should be examined, similarly, here also the functions of both lamp flames should be examined, if you think so. (Answer:) The expression for this is only the function of the lamp. The so-called "that" refers to the flame itself. Even so, because the collection of knowledge is generated, it is only knowledge. Apart from what appears as eye and form itself, there is no other knowledge. This is the establishment of the doctrine.

Is, however, called "also." The rebuttal statement is that this is called "this," and being related to the nature of clarity and non-clarity is also what is seen. However, even if external appearances become different, if someone thinks what is the use of this? It is called "having certainty." It is called "its nature" because the nature of external objects becomes different. It is called "characteristic" because that is what it is. It is called "is" because it is the nature of appearance. If someone thinks, even if the meaning becomes different, what is the harm? (In the sutra) it says, even if the meaning is different. If someone asks, clarity is its own nature, then what is non-clarity? It mentions "how to state," that is, how does it become the nature of clarity in that way? Because clarity and non-clarity are different. It is called "its essence" because non-clarity also recognizes the essence of clarity, therefore, what is called "that," recognizing its nature, then how does the nature of clarity and non-clarity become true from difference? However, it will only become illusion. Stating this itself is to realize that clarity and non-clarity do not exist. The realization itself becomes different, but the meaning is not. If someone asks, is there no difference between realization and non-realization? It explains that even if the nature of what is taken is not different. The difference of what is seen is the difference of knowledge. Whether the nature of the object is apparent or not apparent, because it does not go beyond these two kinds of conceptualization. That, called "like appearance." What is called "different" is the nature of clarity and non-clarity. What is called "separated from it" is being separated from subtle parts. Otherwise, when clinging to "together with...", otherwise, it is called "completely clear form." When there is no clinging to blue, then would it be said that blue is unclear? Therefore, even if there is no clinging to other subtle parts, it clings to the nature of the one with parts. Therefore, it will only cling to clarity. If someone says, even if it is multiple, that is, the nature of atoms. Because it does not cling to other parts besides the subtle parts that are clung to, it will become unclear. If someone says, if it is nature, then at that time there is no mixing with others.
