“That also” means the present. “Will arise” means welcoming doubts. “This also” means the present. Because the moment of the present cause is close to the moment of the future effect. Saying this is “if.” “That” means habit. “Also in meaning” means the same in external objects, because the present moment does not do meaningful things. “That also” means the present. “Also in habit” means that the result of habit will arise as a fire-like appearance, which is a meaningful thing, so it is said that habit also does it, that is the meaning. The teacher means Dignāga. Why? Because saying that consciousness is saying outside the lineage is unreasonable. How are there only two aspects of external objects? It is said, “For the separate ones,” etc. That is the grasper. This speaks of following the aspect of the grasper. Now speaking of the grasped, it is said, “The blue is that.” Just as the aspect of the grasper seen when grasping yellow in the past is the same when grasping blue now. Likewise, the things grasped by the aspect of suffering are grasped by the aspect of happiness, which distinguishes whether this consciousness is direct perception or inference. Also, the different aspect means that from the nature of negation, the different aspect is clear, and the nature of not being clear, etc. Or is the nature of purity one, but it transforms into various aspects? How? It is said, “Like this,” etc. Or is the meaning only various aspects? It is said, “Meaning is not.” For example, consciousness is admitted to be the aspect of the moon, but it also transforms into two aspects by the power of haze, etc. When the aspect of meaning is not, then the different aspect is not particularly present either, that is the meaning. In the true meaning, it arises like the nature of a lamp, so it is seen like that, but it is not the aspect of that consciousness.

Then, it was said at that time. Or, the word "also" means that the eyes lose their function due to dizziness. The word "of that" refers to the function of the eyes. The result of judging the cause of the loss of function is also seeing the truth or seeing the false. If you see the truth and want to judge whether the function is lost, then for seeing the false, you should judge it more carefully. Therefore, the statement of when the function is lost is not valid. However, even if there is such a lamp, others have not seen it, and it is thought that seeing it will cause the loss of sensory function. If that is the case, it is said like this. But this is not the case, because even if you see a lamp that others cannot see, you cannot see objects such as bottles clearly. Therefore, this is still a person who sees the lamp correctly. The reason why there is no difference is because for things that are correct and incorrect. Even if you see abandonment, by what can one person see the correct thing, and another person see the incorrect thing? What other differences are there? This is the meaning. If it exists, then someone will doubt, how can that lamp not be seen by others? In order to eliminate this doubt, it is said that "seeing is unreasonable." Even so, it is caused by dizziness and other reasons. That "other" refers to the lamp. Because it is admitted that knowledge appears as an object in other places. Saying inappropriate is because "where" and so on. If where, the object appears in the knowledge in its own form, then it cannot be refuted. However, if it is thought that the object appears in which knowledge, it will not appear in other knowledge, then it is said "self-appearance." Then, if the self-nature of the lamp's outline appears as an object, and the object appears in knowledge, then, if you say so, it is said "if." Because there are harms such as this. The meaning of that "self-nature" is that the object similar to knowledge is only an appearance. If it is thought that for the outline of a lamp with the color of peacock feathers, its function should also be judged in the same way, then it means "peacock." If someone thinks how pillars and other things can be distinguished from knowledge, then it is said "pillar." The word "etc." refers to fire and other things, and the word "also" here refers to the color of peacock feathers.
