Oṃ. If it is thought that this fault exists only in the sect that speaks of "consciousness," then there are also the words "elsewhere." The words "this realization" refer to each having its own nature; if one clings to it as being common with others, that is confusion. The words "as it is" refer to being cognized by others. The words "in contradiction" also apply to the view that "it is not cognized by others." The words "two" refer to what is to be observed and what is not to be observed. The words "others thus" refer to even if one does not realize the nature of elephants, etc., as dust, etc., it is still so. "The other party itself dispels doubt" means by inference, that is, it is impossible to realize that "others have not realized" by inference. The words "contradiction" also apply to the view that "others have realized." Again, the Buddhist dispels doubt by saying, "in contradiction," that is, it applies to the view that "whatever I see, that is also the kind of others." The word "how" refers to the other party's. "Now, establishing the thesis" refers to the words "only." If what is seen by oneself and others is not the same thing, then how can others also become like having their hair stand on end, etc.? If one thinks so, then it is said, "through similar inference." The words "unseen" refer to not seeing elephants, etc., and conforming to dwelling in ease, etc. If "this" refers to elephants, etc., being real, then at that time others will also see it. Other sects who say that external objects are real have admitted it, because others have not seen it either, so this is not real. The words "with that as the purpose" refer to merely pursuing a great purpose, which would lead to things near and far becoming commonly approached, therefore, that is not real. The words "elsewhere" refer to inferring that "others have not seen it." The words "that view" refer to having the characteristic of "if others also see it." Or, the word "again" refers to preventing cognition by other means. The words "how it appears" refer to how one is particularly attached. The words "because it will become so" refer to being clear.

Therefore. The so-called "is reason" is the result. The so-called "obtaining is also existing on clinging," is said after thinking, "or." The remainder, the other meaning of "is," is what is said by other such as the god Ishvara, wisdom, etc. If what is grasped, etc., is not non-existent, then what are those like? The so-called "if" is "however." The so-called "that is from the owner himself," is degenerated from the self-nature. Those are what is grasped, etc. The so-called "various," how do the self-natures of what is grasped, etc., appear? What is grasped, etc., appearing is also said because it is admitted by the other party. If the different appears, but the self is one, then at that time, for wanting to appear as other, in terms of truth, the very difference is non-existent. The so-called "that" is non-different. The so-called "even if not appearing," is thinking how those are non-different when the aspects of what is grasped, etc., appear only as different. The so-called "if" is the refuter saying something else. The so-called "those different" are the aspects of what is grasped, etc. The so-called "appearing" is non-different together with the self-nature. Clarifying the meaning that has already been said is: if like the self-nature appearing, it is also admitted that all aspects appear, it will exist like the self-nature. If the aspects are not like that, what fault would there be? What is said is "therefore all." If the self-nature is the self-nature of appearing, and the aspects also exist as the self-nature of appearing, then those will also become the self-nature. The refuter also says, "confusion also." If it is thought to say "on the self-nature," then it is said, "there is no one more confused than the confused one," etc. Rejection is "becoming what is to be removed," the so-called "this difference, as long as it has not been established, cannot be established as what is to be removed, and even if it is established as what is to be removed, it cannot be established as confusion, therefore they are mutually dependent." Similarly, as long as it has not been established as what is to be removed, it cannot be established as confusion, and the very thing to be removed, as long as it is confusion, therefore for removal, if it does not enter the meaning of removal, it cannot be established, and even if it enters, it is what is to be removed.
