It is called "Sor." The so-called "only in this way" is due to the power of appearance. The so-called "of that itself" refers to the expression "this is the definitive knowledge of this." The so-called "in that" refers to the place where the separately determined meanings abide. Merely accomplishing the task is particularly excellent. This is because it exists in all causes. Since it is definite, although that which accomplishes the task exists, among those who act, whichever one does not have a resolution for the matter, that one is the superior accomplisher, that is, the actor. The so-called "if not obtained" means that if it is not possessed, then at that time, that which has its appearance, that is, the meaning residing in a distant place, etc., no longer exists. The so-called "that and intervening obstruction" means that appearance and intervening obstruction become what should be cut off, which is the meaning to be completely severed. It should be understood that from the distinction of the appearance of that knowledge, it is the object of experience. Therefore, that which does not degenerate is determined by appearance. If appearance is established by determination, then at that time, that meaning itself is the increase of meaning, because there is no other existence of meaning apart from the establishment of determined appearance. Other than that, not degenerating is not a cause from the abiding of meaning. If that is the case, would not non-degeneration become a valid cognition? For the existence of meaning that has already been established, what can non-degeneration increase? Establishing nearness to establishment means that it is not allowed for abiding, that is the meaning. The so-called "that is established" means that the determination of appearance is established. Now, in order to refute the system of the teacher Dharmakirti, it is established, that is, "the appearance of that also." The so-called "at that time" refers to the time of habituation. Therefore, since it is not existent, how can it become a valid cognition? That is the meaning. That is also inference. Similarly, the uncommon is also not other, thus connected. Again, how can it not become uncommon apart from appearance? In order to dispel such doubts, "of all" was spoken. Of all knowledge. If that blue color, for the object of yellow and that which is not both, is it not the same sense faculty? Or are those sense faculties separate, then none is approximate. Therefore, other sense faculties do not arise.

When doubt arises, saying "How to call it?", to welcome this doubt, saying "that" itself, which is called "to that." This refers to what manifests as neither blue, nor yellow, nor both. The so-called "difference" refers to the manifestation that appears in the realms of blue, yellow, etc., which is no different from any form of those things like blue, yellow, etc. The so-called "even if that is a difference" means that even the manifestation of appearance is a difference. The so-called "devoid of form" refers to being separate from the form of things, which refers to the senses. If there is a recognition of the difference between blue, yellow, etc., then the difference of appearance will be recognized, therefore, If it exists, it means if there is a difference between blue, yellow, etc. The so-called "returning from that" means returning from the nature of color and shape. Because it is unbearable that the appearing blue, yellow, etc., themselves are the nature of knowledge, the other party asks, "Then?". If knowledge is not observed apart from pleasure and blue, etc., then it will become something hidden, and if it is observable, then it will only become non-existent. The so-called "not hidden" refers to the manifestation itself. If it is said, "Knowledge is in that," then the manifestation itself, which is called "something hidden," is knowledge. What is the use of other knowledge? And how can it be said that something hidden is knowledge? The so-called "if there is a thing" means if there is a manifestation itself. The so-called "non-existence also" means that knowledge does not exist either. If that is the case, then the knowledge that appears from blue, etc., is other, so it is said, "experience." The so-called "that" refers to the non-hidden. Then, since the manifestation itself is knowledge, the word "thing" will become meaningless. Therefore, it is said "to that," which is the non-hidden. Just like the image of a face in a mirror, the blue in the non-hidden is also like that. The so-called "that" refers to the appearing blue, etc. If it is thought, "Isn't it said that that form is recognized as the nature of matter?", then the answer to this is "oneself."
