It is said, in response to others' doubts, that "it is also." Aggregation will also become a function. If it is thought that this "non-separation" itself is the nature of aggregation, then it is said, "This itself is first," even without branches, the nature of non-separation, such as form, is also this itself. For form and so on, it may also be the nature, because there is birth. For aggregation, everything is impossible, and what is said to show this meaning is "from its own cause." To explain all of this sequentially is "if." "That" refers to the characteristic of non-separation. "Encounter" is the basis of aggregation, whatever form and so on. Whatever its own cause is, its nature is this, whatever produces form and so on, showing that aggregation will become non-separation, if it is said like that, then it is said "like that." What shows the lineage itself is "by what." "Those" refer to form and so on, the cause of those form and so on is itself form and so on, those are the cause of non-separation, if there is any excellence in this aspect, then for what meaning, wanting a lineage that has the nature of expressing aggregation and so on. More excellent than that is being different from form and so on. "That" is to dispel the meaning of saying the first discriminator itself. Saying "that" is saying "the mist has descended." "It is not like that" refers to if it is not produced from the mist, there is no discrimination. "This is also" refers to being produced from the mist. For this, another's statement is "if." If the consciousness produced from the mist itself has discrimination, then at that time it will become direct perception, because it is free from discrimination. If Master Dignāga only says "direct perception is free from discrimination" as the characteristic of direct perception, then the statement for this is "free from discrimination." "Examining" refers to observing in detail. "From separation from that" refers to the object that is free from exclusion. "For this" refers to if it is thought that speaking generally with specifics will cause harm, then what measure is there for this meaning. Just seeing the dissimilar side can understand the reason.
