Although it tends towards the manifest, what use is there for consciousness in that case? "If" and so on belong to others. The "answer" is "if." "Even so" means that consciousness has arisen. "That" refers to the arising of consciousness. However, if someone doubts, how can the consciousness of a dream, which is deceptive, become manifest? To dispel this doubt, it is said, "not deceptive." "This does not exist" and so on indicate that this commentary on the Pramāṇasamuccaya refutes the views of Master Dignāga. The so-called "explanation of that" refers to the basis for stating the four aspects, namely, the senses and so on, being defiled by cataracts and so on, and whatever arises from that is all non-conceptual. Because it touches other meanings and imputes distinctions, and "in that nature" because it engages in conceptualization in a way that has branches. The explanation of this treatise by Master Dignāga is called "Light." The object with branches, which is examined by the previous consciousness, is also examined, because it is imputed. If someone thinks that if the nature of conceptualization is not different, then various examples with the same nature should be given to prove it. Therefore, it is said, "merely multiple." "Too much" means too much to show all conceptualizations. "Necessity" refers to the necessity of multiple examples. "The first sentence" refers to the sentence "arising from the union of sense and object." "That" refers to the consciousness of the two truths. "Because it is the proof" means because it is an example. If one asks again, how should the example be established? The answer is "because it is not established." "Here" refers to the arising from the senses themselves. "If" the arising from the senses themselves has another cause of confusion, then at that time the confusion will be dispelled. If the object to be proven changes, then it does not exist either. Therefore, what can be proven? This is the final conclusion. However, water is imputation itself, so how can it be conceptualization? Therefore, it is said, "water." "Because it exists" means because it existed before. "Showing the elimination" refers to "imputation is." "Both" refers to the one with branches and water. "Both" refers to imputation and conceptualization. "There" refers to.

Ya-wa is the imputation and the conceptualization. Those themselves are the imputation and the conceptualizations. That means by the nature of being close. To express inference itself is like 'how' and so on. 'To that' means to the memory of experience. Following dependently means relying. To fall away from direct perception means the meaning of not being direct perception. If inference relies on holding a relationship, otherwise isn't it? Therefore, it relies on symbols. If you want to say something, it is inference. There, it is direct perception. If inference relies on the memory of experience, then it is not direct perception, how does the conceptualization of a whole rely on the memory of experience? Because sometimes the whole is not seen. Therefore, if the reason for relying on the memory of experience is not established, then there is no ability to establish non-direct perception, if you think like that, then it is said as such. Not relying on the perceived form and so on, are taste and so on. If this perception does not understand white and rough as one and the same? Therefore, how can the whole be established as distinct? In order to welcome such doubts, what is said by the other party itself is like this. To this, what is said by the established boundary is 'if'. Those refer to color and touch. It will be closely measured, what fault is there? If you think like that, then it is said 'to this'. Or, when there is a perception of close measurement, if you think like that, then even if there is close measurement. It is not like that, it means that the approximate measurement made in other ways is also. Showing that way itself is the object. If it changes, then saying the change itself is when the touch becomes comfortable. Other itself is the nature of the whole. Those refer to form and so on becoming distinct from that whole. If what, that is the need. The whole refers to the answer. Those three refer to form, tangible object, and the whole. By the power of the aggregation relationship, it is not separate.
