If one thinks, "What fault is there if there is nowhere to go?" The answer is: It means "It is like that, it is like that, it is." "Also that" means that it is also so for the nature of things. "That also" means that other meanings understood through things are also so. "Because it is like that" means that it is because it is to be understood through understanding things. Furthermore, if experiencing things is established, then is it established later through understanding things? Or if it is not established, then what is said first is "if." If a thing is established, then understanding through things is established, but experiencing things is not established, because that is what needs to be established. Doubting what that established thing is. If just arising itself is the establishment of a thing, then at that time all things are arising, therefore everything will be established. Even so, through understanding things, everything will be established through knowing. Or if knowing things is established, then at that time things will become like this. What is said here is, if the function of the eye exists. "This" means appearance. Now, explaining the Samkhya school's view is "ear." "The function of the ear and so on" means that the difference of the ear and so on appearing to their respective objects is also called the function of the ear and so on. The characteristic of the cognition of such a function of the ear and so on is to know the function of the ear and so on. Here, if it is not yet established, then the senses' appearing to it will also not be established, abandoning that and saying something else: The function of the ear and so on is direct perception, because of that reason, if one understands the function of the ear and so on, then from what understanding does one understand? The function of the ear and so on, which is the characteristic of appearing, cannot be related to cognition anywhere, because it is hidden for everything. Therefore, it is thought, where does cognition become established for it? Others say, if it is not like that, if it is not to understand cognition for the function of the ear and so on, then what does the function of the ear and so on do at that time? What is said here is "what to do." "Other" means that if it is not needed, it will not arise, if you think that things will not arise without being needed, then it will also arise, therefore if the ear
