That is the yogi who realizes. The so-called "discriminating practice" is like a candle being extinguished, which is the best, and the discriminating consciousness is not good. Thus, turning away from discrimination, there is no such discrimination, that is the meaning. To this, others might say, if one turns away from the aggregate of discriminating consciousness that generates weariness because of weariness, then what contradiction is there in this? The answer to this is "equality." Even if one admits that one will turn away, but if one sees a slight harm to the aggregate of discriminating consciousness, to the extent that one must abandon that discriminating consciousness, then, for that discriminating consciousness, there is no harm whatsoever, then how would one want to be so certainly extinguished? If one thinks that there are harms such as hunger, then that is "meditation." Like that is meditation and so on. Furthermore, through the power of meditation alone, there is also bravery and so on. Therefore, even if struck by swords, one will not be harmed like a warrior, but will only feel joy. If one searches for food and so on every day, one may sometimes feel weary, therefore thinking that it will prevent the nature of mind, so it is said "steadfast." Searching for food is for the sake of strengthening the body. Strengthening the body merely becomes steadfast from that, therefore one does not search for food and so on. The so-called "Kinei" refers to bad food and so on. Even so, even without food, because it is a characteristic of being completely full, therefore that meaning is likely to exist. If one cannot meditate on all meanings, then how can there be omniscience? Therefore it is said "birth." Therefore, weariness of other kinds. To clarify this, it is "cause" and so on. If it is said that the wisdom arising from meditation has also been spoken to other non-Buddhists, hasn't it already been said? That is us. Realizing the selflessness of all phenomena and so on, realizing that all aspects are steadfast and without confusion, is

It is protection. If non-Buddhists also change in this way, then what is the difference? (The scripture says) Because of attachment. What is meant by "in this way"? How is it protected? If you ask: How do you know that the Bhagavan has such wisdom? (Answer) The so-called "changing in this way" is known from the words of the meaning of changing in this way by means of valid cognition (प्रमाण, pramāṇa, प्रमाण), because the author of that statement is wise. If it is thought that even if the statement is considered by valid cognition to be non-deceptive and beneficial, how can it become such wisdom? (Answer) The so-called "knowledge." Whatever is expressed in words is self-realization, because it follows the form that one has recognized, and not because it is seen by direct perception. If you say: What is to be said about this is that it is not only following one's own recognition, but also has the knowledge of practice. For the meaning of existence, valid cognition does not disrespect the reasonable meaning, which is impossible. Therefore, the reasonable meaning is also the practice of existence. Therefore, it is through practice. The so-called "that" refers to knowing all meanings. What is to be said about this is that the so-called "those efforts" refers to those such as the Shravakas. Those people did not put in all their efforts of wisdom. The so-called "after that is accomplished" means when the afflictions such as desire are exhausted and completely perfected. The so-called "upward" refers to the realm of accomplishing all wisdom. If you ask again: Why don't those people make efforts? (Answer) Because they want to obtain the happiness of rest, that is, they want to obtain the happiness of the nature of rest. If it is thought: Then, why is it said that everyone should only obtain omniscience? (Answer) The so-called "omniscience." The so-called "to me" refers to the nature of consciousness. If it is thought that the yogi who has manifested realization is higher than that, that is, wanting to be higher than the stream of consciousness without afflictions. At that time, there is no respect for this very stream of consciousness without afflictions, because how is it possible to want to be free from not grasping its cessation? It is not possible. This means that if for the time being he wants other things to be manifested, then at that time the brightness and afflictions that are produced by long-term habituation
