Does direct perception then enter into the object it apprehends? If it enters into an object that can be related to it, then there are two distinctions. First, since it is not desired that inference establish the hidden itself, then, if it enters into an object that can be related to it, then there are two distinctions. First, since it is not desired that inference establish the hidden itself, then what is the use of direct perception apprehending what is related to it? This statement, "even though it transcends the senses," means that the second alternative is not established. When it is said, "direct perception itself also becomes," then it means that even the hidden itself is self-awareness. Or, it refers to whatever phenomenon, such as the previous one, becomes direct perception. If you wonder why the nature of the phenomenon is also desired to be inferred, then it is said, "of the meaning," and so on. Therefore, there is nothing to be done by relying on what has already entered into the hidden itself. Also, what shows that the same thing is also established by other means is "other also." "Existing by force" means that it itself becomes a different object, and it does not rely on another valid cognition. "The fact that inference cannot comprehend its essence" means that entering into the essence of what is to be established, such as fire, is entering, that is, making it the object. For it, there is no ability. The reason for the lack of ability is that the mere phenomenon has no result. So, if you wonder how to rely on it, that is "that is also desired." Inference is established. If you think it is not a valid cognition, then it is said, "by this." If you think that inference establishes the hidden object, then what happens to valid cognition? It is said, "hidden." "Of this" means of inference. "Related to it" means related to the hidden object. The knowledge obtained from being related to the object is valid cognition. It is thought that it is also born from the sign related to the object. Explaining that itself is "merely related to the object." Therefore, whatever is established as related to the object, that itself is valid cognition. Because it is valid cognition, it is knowledge from the sign, valid cognition

It means that it will become a state of being truly existent. 'The remainder' means possessing transcendence. 'Previously' means that in terminology, 'valid cognition' itself has already been pointed out. 'If' and so on, just because it is an uncertain thing, does not mean that it will create similar and dissimilar things. The meaning of the conclusion is that in any case, even if it is not so, if there is an assembly, change will occur. Two forms are established, and merely by that, there is no decline. 'It should be pointed out again' means that, similarly, without relying on signs, the very ability of things will become the eye's wisdom. And 'For the dharma that has connection, from the subject of dharma arises understanding.' Furthermore, the classification of similarity and dissimilarity and experience shows that without two valid cognitions, it will not occur, which is 'through the establishment of two objects of measurement.' Thus, by establishing two objects of measurement, the distinction of non-relatedness is established, and by making the distinction in the manner of distinction related to others, it is 'at what time.' Any knowledge that does not possess an object is valid cognition, such as knowledge of a rabbit's horn. 'Not possessing an object of knowledge that is different from direct perception and inference' means that there is no pervasiveness. In order to eliminate uncertainty, expressing pervasiveness is 'separated from the object of measurement' and so on. Why? Because it has already been said that one's own nature, i.e., the non-common, and the nature of the other, i.e., the common, likewise, the object of measurement also pervades two forms. Because there is no connection with sound and so on, it cannot completely determine anything. Therefore, even if there is only doubt and so on, and the common sentient beings, there is no knowledge that is known through this. Because it is separated from the grasped and the grasper and so on, its characteristic is valid cognition. Therefore, because there is no knowledge, there exist the terms of valid cognition. This pervades the terms of valid cognition that are sacred through the complete determination of proof.
