"One's own cause" means that one's own nature of awareness arises from causes and conditions. "That is different because" means that the other is not different from one's own nature. The nature of external difference should not be the nature of other consciousness. From that, how does it become clear from consciousness? If it is thought that the appearance of the vase is not definitely clear? "From the lamp" means that if, in the same way, things are not produced from the nature of clarity from consciousness? If it is said that it is made clear by consciousness. "Clear" is said like this. If it is thought that consciousness does not produce things with a clear nature, then "the result is" is said like this. If it is admitted that things are the result of consciousness, then how does the consciousness that is the cause know things? It cannot be known, if it is not like that. "If what is born is born from what is born, then it is known by consciousness." "That is through knowing." "Nature" refers to the nature of consciousness. "That is" means that if the difference of things themselves also first turns to produce, then the answer to this is "from the eye." "Also" means that consciousness is also born from the difference of the eye, so how is consciousness not known by the eye? Consciousness is also born from the difference of the eye towards things themselves, but not towards the eye. Therefore, if things themselves are what is known, then the answer to this is "consciousness is for things." How is it known that consciousness has a manifestation towards things? If it is thought that how is it known to be directed towards things themselves? "If" is said like this. There is no manifestation towards. "That and the manifestation towards and." "From that other" means from simultaneous appearance. "Only simultaneous appearance" is thought like this. Because of that reason, that is the thing that appears simultaneously. It is necessary to be simultaneous, that is, at the same time, it is unreasonable to grasp both blue and happiness. "Happiness, etc." refers to the nature of happiness, etc., sound, etc. "Great" refers to the mind. "Just so much" refers to the object.

The so-called five sense faculties are hearing, skin, sight, taste, and smell. The five action faculties are the anus, genitals, hands, feet, and speech. If that is the case, then all of these are the nature of happiness, suffering, and ignorance, and have completely transformed into the chief, this is merely established. How are sound and so on understood to be the nature of happiness and so on? It is said to be transformation. Happiness and so on are the nature of the chief of the nature of happiness and so on, it is the very nature of that chief. Why is this? Because it is seen to follow the nature of that chief. This, refers to what is said by the Samkhya school. Whatever is born from something, that follows its nature, this is not certain. If the accumulation of minute particles is invisible, is that the wind itself? Sound particles exist, and isn't the complete transformation of those transformed into the nature of sound? Then how could it become uncertain? It is said, if again. That is not established, because this is not seen by valid cognition. This again, refers to the sound that arises from the combination of stone and earth. Its nature, refers to the nature of clay and so on. Because of that, therefore, by showing some examples to establish, therefore the reason that can establish. Also stating another aspect, that is to say, refutation is established, arising only from similar kinds, from this refutation is established. Why is this? It is said, not simultaneous. However, similar kinds also see dissimilar kinds and simultaneous as causes. Therefore, whatever is a result is born from similar and dissimilar kinds, for example, pots and so on. Sound and so on are also results. Therefore, it is thought that it is not established as merely similar kinds. However, refers to the thought. The statement for this, refers to what has already been said for this. Remembering what has already been said, refers to simultaneous. Because the sound of what is apprehended and so on follows things and so on.
