Therefore, the so-called being weary of things like happiness. The only thing is happiness. So, if that's the case, then how is it? It is said (in the scriptures) that it is because of certain causes. The so-called simultaneous grasping refers to the time when happiness is grasped simultaneously with things like form. The statement about this is, well, that's it. If things grasped simultaneously are understood as causes, then sometimes when blue and yellow are recognized simultaneously, they will also be understood as causes. The so-called "this" refers to the fact that simultaneous recognition as a cause is not reasonable. The so-called "at that time, external objects will not be seen" means that external objects will not be seen. The so-called "experiencing happiness is because it will not arise without it" means that it will not arise without the appearance of external objects. To explain the absence of the collection of grasping, what is said is "sense faculty." Therefore, because there is no second consciousness that produces knowledge of happiness, etc. The so-called "from that" means arising from things like form. Others, to show the establishment itself for what is established, is "however." In cold times, when it is warm, when touch is close, combine coldness, etc. The so-called "always" means that when things that produce happiness and suffering are close by, happiness and suffering will always be experienced. If happiness and suffering are always changing, then the battlefield is the place of engagement, the mind is taken away, the place where the mind is focused is the location of the lord, the person who respectfully offers resources wants to make him a nature controlled by others and have fruits, that is, touching with weapons, not recognizing the pain of striking. If he is struck with a weapon and no pain is produced, then how would he think to recognize it? It is explained that when there is a cause of pain, striking with a weapon, pain will definitely arise. Therefore, the so-called "therefore" is because pain has arisen. Others are because of happiness. Still others are because of suffering. The so-called "because of greatness, etc." means because happiness is great. The so-called "in some cases" refers to happiness itself.

Cultivation itself is a kind of fabrication, and happiness and so on are also born from it. If someone wants to know what fault there is in this, (the scripture) says: It arises from the power of cultivation. Any knowledge that arises as happiness and so on is transformed from the power of cultivation, not happiness and so on themselves. These happiness and so on are produced by the power of the material of the nature of form and so on. If this is the case, then habit will not become the cause, which is a doctrinal doubt. The so-called "it is like this" refers to acknowledging that the knowledge arising from the power of things is produced by habit. In order to explain that the knowledge arising from the power of things can arise even without habit, it is said "never thought of before" and so on, which is merely habit. If someone thinks that because knowledge is accustomed together with things, the knowledge produced by habit will not arise meaninglessly, then the answer to this is "if it is like this". Separating from consciousness means that the nature is different. Others are intellectuals. The so-called "however, that itself" means that it is not the proximate cause of contradiction itself. Because the continuation of knowledge is also commonly seen in things that contradict happiness and so on. The so-called "not consciousness" means that in the view of intellectuals and so on, happiness and so on are the nature of matter. The owner also exists in the contradictory fruit. Therefore, the commentary of and so on is only to make a brief statement, to show that this commentary exists because this meaning has been developed. In order to temporarily recall the previously mentioned hindrance, it is said "if". The so-called "according to your view" refers to the view of Buddhists. If someone wants to know what the awakening of habit is like, (the scripture) says: Form and so on. For example, just like the continuation of the arising of the discrimination of form and so on is sometimes like that. The so-called "sometimes" refers to happiness or suffering. For this, it is intelligence. If someone asks, even if habit is the cause, then how does its fruit, that is, enlightenment, arise? (The scripture) says: It arises from the power of habit. Habit is the cause of memory and recognition.
