It is because of holding. If it is thought, how could it fall into not holding many entities? Because it is not held. Thus it is said. Or it is not holding just those, or it is not holding the three qualities. If it is said, from just those etc., isn't it that sound etc. another one fruit is produced? If it is thought, how could it become held in that way? It is called another fruit. Called "from itself," it is from its own nature. Here, for one hundred, because not holding the main and secondary many things, it becomes sound, therefore what is said from it is, called "remainder." Called "as before," it has already been said by "not holding the limbs completely at the same time" etc. Accumulation and collection are synonymous. That general, for that, is the sense consciousness. Through "that general, for that, is the sense consciousness" etc., refuting the establishment as having other discriminations, the final conclusion is said as, called "therefore." Called "if," it is welcoming the doubt. If it is said, although the direct perception does not hold the subject of dharma, what fault is there? Called "direct perception subject of dharma." Establishing the subject of dharma, fire etc., the subsequent inference will arise. If it is not like that, it will be thought that all reasons will be covered by the fault of unestablished basis. If direct perception cannot hold the subject of dharma, then, does it depend on inference to hold? Called "subject of dharma also." If it is thought, then, what fault is there in direct perception holding all subjects of dharma? It is said, "Holding the subject of dharma is." To this, temporarily for the sake of Dharmakirti explaining the meaning of the Sutra, temporarily by the great scholar Dignāga explaining the Sutra is, called "many subjects of dharma." However, called "oneself," it is saying that the pot etc., with its own uncommon nature, the pot etc., the knower and the doer, by knowing with the uncommon self, it becomes the known. Form etc. those, on the same basis, actually depend on that subject of dharma, because there is no direct perception realization, that is, there is no cognition. Connecting, the other basis will not become the object of holding. Depending on it, that is, form etc. depending on other bases, is the holding

It should be connected as follows: there is no becoming a different entity. The so-called "one nature" refers to seeing and touching. If so, how does the realization arise that "what I see is what I touch"? Therefore, it is said "form." To show this meaning, it is said "thus." The so-called "the eye only knows form" means knowing that form is only its nature, and "the rest" refers to what arises from touch, which only knows touch. Thus it is known. However, among these two, there is no common thing to be seen and touched, nor is there any need to strive for this. If so, will other consciousnesses be blocked? Therefore, it is said "they are mutual." This refers to form and touch. The so-called "is seeing" means that form and touch are me, they are one nature. To make it known that "what I see is what I touch," one needs to be aware. The so-called "touch does not enter form" means that the form seen earlier does not enter into touch, because there is no manifestation. To explain this from the opposite side, it is said "if." If the white color seen is stained by touch, or if it is held in the hand, is it not also not an object of focus? How can it be said that there is no manifest identity of meaning? If in a dark room, one touches something, at that time, the consciousness that knows the touched object, does that consciousness not know form? Is it so? At that time, the self of manifestation has already known the difference, so it cannot be established by inference. The so-called "mutually holding" refers to those who hold form and touch. The so-called "manifestation" refers to those who hold form and touch. The so-called "no entry" means mutually, that is, those who hold form are empty of the aspect of touch, and those who hold touch are also empty of the aspect of form. Manifestation will completely cut off the difference, and because manifestation completely cuts off the difference. If so, how can what is known by the mind be considered valid? Therefore, it is said "born from the sense faculty." It means that only what is born from the sense faculty is valid, thus Buddhists manifest.
