Now, it is for the purpose of showing the non-arising itself. Or, considering the difference in intelligence, it is said so. For the nature of intelligence, the difference should be stated, that is its meaning. The reason for understanding in two ways is: because there is no other way of distinguishing. Having abandoned the understanding of affirmation and negation, there is no other way of intelligence. Also, stating by means of direct perception itself, this is stated as a reason. The means of understanding such an object is not other than direct perception, because there is no other, and it itself has the ability. Therefore, for something that has no intelligence, when it becomes a special thing that cannot be seen, proving the non-existence of things, this is the object of non-perception, and being separated from the particularity is the result of negating the name of existence, that is its meaning. Or, the object of sound understanding is close to the representation, therefore, in all cases, the thing itself that can be named can only come from the reason of nature itself. The similarity that is mainly stated in this way is only the object of the reason of the result, therefore, the three kinds of definite objects are stated. Or, this third way is also the certainty of the reason itself that is dedicated to preventing fabrication. For example, similarity is the object of the result, this is because it prevents the inference of differences such as independence, therefore, it shows the prevention of fabrication of things. The name itself comes from the reason of nature, this shows the prevention of fabrication of the attributes of things. If moments and so on are not actually existent, but because there is no distinction, the name should not be established as proof, even so, just as there is no shape of fire on the mountain, its direct perception is not born separate from the shape of the moment, therefore, only it can prove the moment and so on, and the name can prove it. This explains that, because the nature of the thing that appears in direct perception itself does not exist, therefore, the attachment to universals and so on is controlled by the invisible, so it is said to negate the invisible. Let the appearance itself not become definite.

Thus. That which is without intelligence, that is the object of non-apprehension, as it is said, it shows the prohibition of slander. Without non-apprehension, negation is not established. That which is the direct negation, that is not, because it is another direct perception. In that, that is the non-apprehension. For the ignorant, that is placed near as a sign. If so, why is it said, "Because of ability and inability"? Answer: To remember the appropriate time, that is, similarity is said. Although similarity and so on are shown as dharma, it should be understood in terms of the subject. Therefore, similarity is the hidden understanding, the object of inference, and the nature of dissimilarity is another object of direct perception. Similarly, in the case of the object and non-object of sound, and when there are other reasons, it should also be applied to what is intelligent and unintelligent. What will change from that? Answer: That statement can also do things. Direct ability is its own nature, and indirect ability is the general characteristic. This saying "is knowledge" means that the reason for the uncertainty of ability is not the meaning of the birth of what is to be done. Similarity and dissimilarity are not born from ability, but they are knowledge. It is also born from direct perception and inference. In short, although the reason for self-nature is not the object of directly generating others by direct perception, what is the reason when it establishes differences in the nature of discrimination? Answer: At that time, it is the direct perception of self-awareness. At that time, it is close to understanding as having functionality, or relying on measurement and result, or making names in view of the discrimination arising from the back. Because it is established as direct perception by its power, it is placed near as direct perception. It is the one who directly generates, and the one who is immediately after it is the one who generates indirectly. This shows that knowledge also exists with the ability to do things. Therefore, "ability and inability, etc.", this is the general characteristic.
