If one thinks there is any difference in the way of expressing, it is not like that, because there is a difference depending on other arguments. For example, saying "there is fire here" requires relying on smoke, etc. Similarly, when hearing words such as tree, for the general concept of having branches, etc., when referring to its object, it does not depend on other arguments, but can be determined in that way simply by the way it appears. For the meaning of language, since there is establishment and subsequent statement in all cases, inference of things with special properties also does not depend on others. For example, saying "this cow is white," "bring the cow here," here, the cow is stated subsequently, and it is established that it can be the object of the term white. Just like understanding. Some people also understand other differences, for example, saying "no cow is like a cow," here, through the no cow established only by name, it can be understood that it is like a cow, thus establishing that it can be the object of the term like a cow. Showing that difference itself is "like this." The meaning of "hey" is this meaning of "separately appearing." "Approaching measurement" refers to approaching measurement as spoken. "When universally determined like that, expressing the ultimate result of difference by seeing a non-cow is 'this is'." For that non-cow's own nature, it also applies like inference, and in order to avoid the possibility of applying direct perception as well, it is said "its nature is direct perception." This is the Brahmanical way, saying "this is like that," holding a non-cow with different differences, having conceptual thought, this itself is direct perception, while "that is like this" is approaching measurement, because it understands hidden dharma and the possessor of dharma. Therefore, how can it be the object of knowledge arising from sound, after welcoming the question, it is said "like this." "The meaning is the same" is to show the similarity that depends on both. However, only the way of expressing words is different, for example, if one understands one's brother, it is just like understanding the other's brother. About that

Furthermore, if one thinks that understanding other siblings themselves through meaning is enlightenment, it is not so, because the meanings are different. Just because the ways of understanding are different, the meanings are different, just like "the son of Upagupta" and "born from Upagupta," and "concubine" and "queen," etc., there would be the same fault. If one says, "This is similar to that," that itself is direct perception, then, if it depends on that time, however, saying "That is similar to this" or that it is the same meaning, then, for what is already established by direct perception, what is the use of examining it with approximate measurement? The limit of establishment is that direct perception is without understanding, only without understanding is direct perception, therefore, direct perception only understands the nature and essence of a bull and a cow, this is the meaning of the first half. The second half is not explained, which is "following after that." Like this, only the similarity of the name "following after that" exists in both. If that is the case, then, since you also pursue inference, why doesn't direct perception hold it? If one thinks like this, then it is said, "Direct perception is." This is one person's thought. If again two direct perceptions hold the nature of both, even so, the similarity existing in both, one person can understand, because the second is invisible. Therefore, it abides in the fact that only the reason of nature can be understood. Declaring the aspect of inference is, "That is similar to this." If only having its aspect is similar, then, how could it be things with properties and things possessing properties? The answer is, it is only the name of similarity. The connection is, whatever holds the aspect of something, then, all of these are called similar to it, for example, the two fingers of the left and right hands are similar to each other. Bulls and cows should also be understood in the same way. It is not uncertain, because the reason for the name of similarity is limited to this. For the understanding arising from sound, because of the appearance of mixedly holding aspects, it is not unestablished, nor is the name of the external object lost, because appearance and conceptualization are regarded as one. Then, at that time, it is only the fault of conceptualization itself.
