If one thinks what is unreasonable, it is the phrase "if it is self-cognition," meaning if it becomes self-cognition, then it is not other-cognition. Because self and other cognitions are mutually exclusive and contradictory. The phrase "therefore" refers to mutual recognition. For that debate, the debate refers to the remainder. "Separately" refers to when one admits that blue recognizes yellow, and yellow also recognizes blue. If another continuum recognizes, then it will not be considered that these are two, and similarly, it will not be considered a valid cognition. Just like this, blue is not recognizing the self-nature of yellow, and yellow is not only recognizing the self-nature of blue. Even so, how can one consider that these are two? The consciousness abiding in one continuum experiences blue, while another recognizes yellow, saying that these are two, is impossible. Similarly, if the agent is not self-cognition, then one will not think, "I have completely determined this blue and recognized it." When blue recognizes yellow, or when yellow recognizes blue, it is not recognizing oneself, therefore, if the consciousness existing in another's continuum recognizes blue, one will not think, "This is what I recognized," similarly, one will not recognize oneself, because there is no self-recognition. In order to explain the meaning of the verse, temporarily explain other views, namely "if those." Or, whoever recognizes with self-nature, that is also other. Then, how does the fault become two? Namely, "recognizing with one's own essence." Not clinging is not considering it one's own, meaning this is not indicating oneself. Because self and other cognitions are mutually contradictory. Now, stating the meaning of the verse, namely "declaring." If it is not self-cognition, then the aspect of the agent not appearing, because both self-cognition and other-cognition are unreasonable, therefore. "If it is like that" refers to when one admits self-cognition. Because they are mutually different, just like recognizing another's continuum, neither will be recognized.

Ra ro. Here, it means falling into a state where there are no diverse appearances. If one accepts self-cognition and other-cognition, then I am also not beyond the previous situation. Therefore, the debate and examination of "I will also become self-cognition or other-cognition" does not go beyond this. Furthermore, the word "other" means not only one's own nature. The answer to this is "Is it that very nature?", meaning that some expressions are based on the nature of the thing itself. The word "other" refers to the nature that is different from the current situation. The first thing to eliminate is "self." What clarifies it is "one's own nature." For the second conceptualization, it is also expressed through "other perspectives." It means that if one cognizes others through the nature that appears to others, then it will be completely different from the nature that appears to oneself. The word "therefore" refers to the nature that appears to others. Because through the nature that appears to oneself, one can only cognize one's own nature, and through the nature that appears to others, one can only cognize the nature of others. The word "where it exists" refers to the self. The answer is "This is," meaning appearance. The word "it is it" refers to necessity, which is oneself. Related to the nature that appears to oneself and the nature that appears to others is "having the wisdom to recognize that these are two." Since the natures that appear to oneself and others are mutually contradictory, they cannot be cognized through either the one that appears to oneself or the one that appears to others. Therefore, two other appearances must be acknowledged. Similarly, in order to cognize it, because it is other, there is no end. Because there is fault in other-cognition, the three natures of self-cognition refer to the two natures that do not appear to oneself and others, plus the self, making three. Therefore, since these three natures do not understand the rules of each other, in order to cognize these three natures. If the various aspects are not true, even so, knowledge is not merely existent, then how can it become emptiness? Thinking this, it is said in this way. The word "its also" refers to the also of knowledge. The word "both also" refers to
