The term "is" refers to the very nature of functioning in the aspect of non-difference, while in the aspect of difference, it is by the nature of functioning. If it is said that this is the nature of functioning, but there is no such thing, then it is said to be "the nature of functioning." The term "some" refers to things like a pot or happiness. Because of this reason, it is asserted that functioning is acknowledged by those schools that claim that there is a difference from appearance. If it is asked, "Isn't the functioning of some things only present in things that are different from appearance? Otherwise, how would it become completely non-existent?" The phrase "from the nature of blue, etc." means from the nature of appearance of blue, etc. Showing functioning in order to prove the existence of another is what is called "what." The meaning of "this is this" is that things are not different from persons, etc., because it would lead to selflessness. Others say they are afflicted by suffering. The answer is "no." What is repeated is "habit." The term "all" refers to the reversal of suffering and satisfaction. Expressing the opposite is "if there is no habit." If it is said, "If that is the case," it refers to when everything arises from the power of habit. Again, how could it be that what is born from the power of ignorance itself is non-existent? The term "like that" refers to what is born from the power of habit. If it is said that even if it is analyzed in that way, appearance still does not exist, then how would it become non-existent? The term "merely appearance." The term "for the meaning" means that for the knowable, one should also add "for knowledge." Explaining "because it is limited to the one self" and so on, is "why the coarse appearance is." Those are only many, but not coarse. Why? Why? It is said to be "coarse itself." The term "from those" refers to from the many atoms. Another way is also stated to refute the coarse itself, which is "the name of coarse." The term "one shimmering" refers to the situation where one mind without interruption appears to be mutually different. However
