"Pa" means "this." This "this" refers to the aspect of harm. That which has a harmful effect is not it. If the presence or absence of harm is not understood, and it is posited as understanding, that is unreasonable, because only through the presence or absence of appearance can it be established. If you think so, then it is said "because of that reason" for that reason. "Another" refers to the understanding of the nature of things. "Is a goer" means understanding, it is the meaning of being certain. Eliminating others is also what causes a person to enter. Therefore, because of these two causes, hearing is what causes the elimination of others. Establishing the object of that external term and the very thing that is the cause, that is, existing. If it is said that what is additionally imputed from that knowledge is called additional clinging, but it is not the very cause of entering even without understanding it, the debate stated for this meaning is "for that," and so on. If one wonders, "If knowledge is other, what is the fault?" Then it is said, "If." "By that" means by the nature of additional clinging, by discriminating. The reception of doubts according to the tenets of "those with reason," and so forth, is "elsewhere." When a mirage is imputed as water, at that very time, the very knowledge that imputes holds the water that exists elsewhere, and that is their establishment. The proponent of an established tenet asks, "Is that," meaning that imputation. The other's answer is, "It is," meaning that. "That is the very existence in the other," is the meaning. What is said about this is "additional." Because it is held by the very water that exists in the other, it is imputation. Or it does not exist, if it is said like that, it is "in the other." "For whom" refers to mirages, and so on. "That" refers to water, and so on. "That also" refers to mirages, and so on. "At that time" means in any way. The answer to this is, "For that, understanding that." Explaining the meaning of this itself is "that and." If the meaning changes like that, what is the fault? Then it is said, "At that time also." "Or" refers to doubt, that is, to the very non-existence of water, and so on.

If someone asks with a definitive view that 'it simply doesn't exist,' then the other's answer is 'that's it.' 'It is not' means to negate. 'Water and so on do not exist' means that for those who perceive mirages, the water they perceive is not the object of others, so how can others perceive it as non-existent? The water perceived by oneself is not something that others can make an object of, because it is the nature of one's own awareness, so it is not common, that is the thought. 'Like that' means that even for something that is not water, it appears as the aspect of water. 'That' means the appearing water. Although it is one's own conceptualization, because it is the cause of making a name for obtaining an external object, one does not use the name of one's own conceptualization for something that is not to be obtained, that is the meaning. 'This name is this' means that the meaning of this is that from this point on, at other times it is also called 'this.' 'It is not its own nature' means that it does not exist in other places and times, that is the thought. 'Conversely' means habit or having conceptualization as a precursor. To briefly explain both conceptualizers, it is 'like this.' 'This name is this' means simply the meaning of the name. Like that, for the moment, what is being said is holding onto the name for the thing itself. That is, one understands the meaning only from the name, what is being said is 'like that.' In that, one should also observe that those with understanding will generate conceptualizations. Starting from someone saying 'this is like this.' 'From this sound' means from a sound like this. 'Or,' etc., therefore, even at the time of naming, it is explaining the commentary on 'even at the time of naming' in another way. 'Before' means at the time of naming. Explaining the meaning of 'having the fruit of one's own understanding' is: 'The fruit of that image is also.' 'Conversely, it is only different,' because some victors might think that way, so to closely refute it, it is 'conversely, that.' 'Separating' means starting from clarity. If one separates the converse with conceptualization, then now one uses the name in the same way as it. If that is the case, the meaning of this is as a way of establishing.
