It's like telling a joke, saying "What is this?" To indicate that itself, one says "If." If it is the case that direct perception enters at any time, if someone wonders what contradiction there is in this, then it is said "like this" and so on. Because direct perception is not clear, from its own nature, because there is no object, therefore the very first entry is non-existent, therefore there is no habituation. Because there is no that, therefore later a very clear direct perception will not arise, that is the meaning. Therefore, that phrase is a summary of entry. Saying "it is entering itself," this statement is to cut off what is not possessed. In the state of habituation, saying "the inference itself that possesses that nature is entering" is not that meaning. Saying "there is no need for another," that is, there is no need for another life, that will be explained immediately. The commentator suspects that life also enters only through direct perception, and not through inference that possesses that nature. If, again, because of the state of habituation, from the similarity of the previous nature and dharma, one understands it in that way, that is not inference, because the meaning is not hidden, just like understanding the form of jewels and silver, etc., even so, it is because it is the time of direct perception when doubt arises later. Saying "even if there is no direct perception," it is without the place of fire that is to be inferred. Saying "that also," is also direct perception. At the time of entering from inference, there is no direct perception of that place, that is the meaning. If one says "what" and so on, it is of others. Without that, it is without inference. Saying "even without that," is also without inference. That is established, it is established through direct perception. Inference undoubtedly relies on the direct perception of the property of the locus etc. as the reason, but the direct perception generated by habituation does not rely on that, that is the necessary meaning. Here, is inference denied in every way, or does direct perception mainly become established? To that, previously it has

Because the statement makes one remember, the first half prevents the first situation, and the second situation is prevented by the second half. Therefore, the action is because the direct perception is clarified by the grace of inference. What makes it clear now is "other time," that is, the time of clarity. The so-called "other time" refers to the time when one is not familiar. If it is thought that inference is not necessary at that time, it is said "unfamiliar." If it is thought that even if it is not needed, it will actually become needed, it is said "no need." If it is thought that the inference of the object actually sought is also not needed, it is said "the object sought by things." This shows that the Brahmin Ajase also believes that the inference with that nature only exists in unfamiliar situations, so this difference should be explained. The meaning of "if" etc. is: even if inference is needed, but because direct perception needs to be proven there, direct perception is the main thing. The second half is the established conclusion. The thing that needs to be proven, from this way of being a characteristic that is the difference of other things, that is, from this order, it will not exceed. Where is it? In the place and sign. It is for the meaning of enabling the certainty of the third way to enter. If it is thought that inference itself is not the fruit of producing direct perception? If it is admitted that some direct perception is a part of producing inference, then it ultimately comes down to it, because even if direct perception transforms inference, there will be no situation of pursuing inference, but for inference, direct perception will inevitably be pursued, if it is not like this, what is the use of inference? If it is thought that not all inferences need to be directly perceived, then, if inference is proposed considering some result, then obtaining itself at that time will make it fruitful, and obtaining is only the nature of direct perception. Obtaining arbitrarily or entering through sophistry is undesirable. Then how does it enter into becoming direct perception?
