By the power of non-existence. The so-called "reversal itself" is from the reversal itself, which establishes the valid cognition. If asked, "From what does the so-called 'cessation established from non-apprehension' arise?" It is the phrase "in what place things." Things are the negation. Therefore, it is unreasonable to say that "what is seen is not the establisher of non-existent things." The so-called "by reversal itself" is by non-apprehension itself. If someone says that non-apprehension can establish negation, while others hold on to or particularly hold on to it, to show this meaning, an example is given, which is the phrase "like this." What can be seen is permissible. If according to other people's views, what form would become unseen and known? To eliminate your doubts about not having direct perception or related things with valid cognition, and to show the connection, it is the phrase "only this." From negation other than non-apprehension, it will also become unrelated, but not for us, because it is not other, so it is the nature of the other. If it is said that all negations are established from non-apprehension, it is unreasonable, because contradictory perceptions and so on are also establishers of non-existence. Non-apprehension is not its nature here either, because it is different from negation by the object itself that is not permissible, so doubts arise, which is the phrase "contradiction also." The so-called "thing or" refers to contradictory non-apprehension. The so-called "indirectly" refers to causes, contradictions, and so on. The so-called "here" refers to causal contradiction. From the time of holding on to the contradiction, the appearance of cognition, not seeing its nature, from seeing this, it is inferred that it itself is the cause of the nominal term of the absence of things. To answer this question, it is the phrase "what is the seen contradiction said?" Ask: What? That is, the cold to be negated, or the trembling, hair standing on end, etc. of the cause of cold, for whom, that is, for the negation of the cause of cold. In what is seen, for whom, the cold itself is without valid cognition, but shows non-apprehension, which is inferable. Through contradiction and what is seen, etc., non-apprehension itself is the subsequent inference.

That is the meaning. Because of directly seeing the form of burning, relying on the same aggregate, one understands the nature of warmth, where cold is not apparent. Therefore, non-apprehension is established by inference. It is clear what is meant by saying, "What connection does it have with non-apprehension and contradiction?" In this regard, it is also explained that the form of fire, which depends on a single aggregate, infers the touch of the nature of warmth. "Contradiction" refers to the touch of cold. "Doubt" refers to the manner of non-existence. "If that is so" refers to the answer. If it is not so, how can one realize its non-existence from seeing it? "It and" refers to the absence of cold, that is, fire and the absence of cold are together. Where something does not exist, but exists there, what will the absence of cold become there? "From there" refers to this. After welcoming doubt in this way, having made two discriminations of "what," the first is eliminated by "if." "That" refers to the second. "Only from non-apprehension" means inferring from seeing the contradiction. "Otherwise" means that although contradiction is established, non-apprehension is not inferred. By saying that one thing, such as fire, exists, other things, such as the touch of cold, do not exist. "From where" refers to valid cognition. "That itself" also refers to contradiction itself. "That" refers to not being able to exist simultaneously. "The absence of valid cognition itself" refers to non-apprehension itself. However, if one can prevent others merely from the existence of one, what is the use of non-apprehension? "If" refers to this. If preventing others comes from contradiction, then it will not be too extreme, so it is said "simultaneously." By "if that is so," etc., the doubt of the views of non-Buddhists is welcomed. Preventing this is welcoming doubt according to the view of Acharya Dharmottara, that is, "if the contradiction is established." "Previously" refers to the time of holding the contradiction. "Merely relying on following it" means coming from following the non-apprehension that entered previously. "That itself" refers to the non-apprehension that entered previously. Because what should be inferred is established merely by holding the relationship, therefore the time of valid cognition is at the time of inference. After that
