What is direct perception? It is said to be "superior," which means particularly excellent. It arises from great familiarity and does not rely on conceptual thought. Because it seeks the future, it enters the present. Therefore, direct perception is not the only valid cognition. The explanation of the latter half is "where it is very." "Is it not so?" refers to entering dependent on conceptual thought. "Clarifying this" refers to "if for what." Direct perception itself is the valid cognition of grasping the bee, but conceptual thought is not, because it is contradictory. The doubt is "Could it be?" "It has been analyzed" refers to "Could there be conceptual thought entering?" This is how it is established. Even if it possesses, it is related. However, conceptual thought says "although." The answer is "direct perception," meaning that it enters because of conceptual thought itself. Even without it, it refers to realization, even without direct perception. "Then" is the answer. This aspect has already been answered. To raise a doubt for the sake of explanation is "Could it be?" "Then direct perception also" is the answer. If one doubts, "How could conceptual thought not be valid cognition?" therefore it is said, "Because of that." "After direct perception" is raising a doubt. If the conceptual thought that enters after direct perception, direct perception has the ability to enter, thus distinguishing and relating. "Because of the decision" is the answer. It means that there is no superior proof. "Even if decided" refers to direct perception. "If it is so" is the answer. "Because it is not knowledge" is a doubt. If it is said that the eyes, etc., are not material, therefore they are not valid cognition, the answer is "the same, immediately following." "Other" is because it has the aspect of not being what is entered. "The object itself being the same" is the answer. It means that it will become valid cognition. "Only becoming" is a doubt. If it is said that the immediately following cause is the object itself being the same, then it will only become valid cognition.

The answer of "not so," is related to "valid cognition." Why is that? Because it is said thus. Because there is no knowledge, it is not a complete severance, therefore the object of entry is not knowledge, this is the meaning. How is it not known? It is said, "the previous moment." Why is it that direct perception is a valid cognition? Therefore, it is so. Because it is not a complete severance, it is a doubt of non-establishment, the welcome is "but also." Thus, "also" is the answer, even if the non-knowledge itself is not established. Holding onto what is grasped is doubt. The answer is "of entering." Without conceptualization, direct perception is not seen to enter. Therefore, conceptualization itself is entering, therefore it is valid cognition. What is it similar to? It is said, for example, the moment itself is inference, and the grasped object of direct perception is also valid cognition, likewise, conceptualization is also, this is the meaning. In what is grasped, the grasped holder also enters, how is it valid cognition? It is said, "only by appearance." Why is that? It is said, "moment." "Only change" is doubt, in the grasped object of direct perception. "Moment" is the answer. "However" is doubt. The answer is "conceptualization also." Thus, it is establishing a name. It becomes valid cognition because of the inference of its own nature. If that is the case, the two objects are the same, how do they differ by the difference of objects? Therefore, it is so. Why is inference also valid cognition? Therefore, it is so. The objects of arising of direct perception and inference are the same, but it is said by the difference of clear and unclear appearance of what is grasped. Why? "In thought, there is no deception, even if it is mistaken, it is still valid cognition," it is well said, it is said, therefore it is "of others." If there is no non-deception, how is it known by the nature of others? How? Although it is non-deceptive and is valid cognition, valid cognition is also contrary to confusion.
