It is the realm of sound, and if it is not the realm of other sounds, then it is not. To speak of refuting unwanted certainties is to speak of the realm of sound and so on. Therefore, how can the words that the burning of fire accomplishes the heavenly realm and so on become valid? Because there is doubt that its realm is the thing itself. The collection of meanings understood by the six valid cognitions that precede them, in short, is that which does not arise without it, and by the power of things, the understanding of the hidden meaning in some place is the subsequent thought itself is valid, and wherever none of the three modes exist or are doubted, it is because the certainty to be established has no power, so the general nature is not fully present. The knowledge of its realm is also valid, and that is it. The valid cognition of non-things is also refuted in the chapter on refuting the non-establishment of valid cognition. As it is said, that which is not the realm of sound is its own nature, and there it is also said that whatever is not the realm of sound is its own nature, in order not to understand it as such, it is also said that it is not the realm. Therefore, there is no fault in this, and this is due to the inverted certainty of clinging. Sound becomes valid, or the protection of sounds and so on that are approximated by it will also become its own nature, and whatever is said in this way, both of these are tainted by the sound of fault. Therefore, and so on, is the conclusion. Some are general, and it is said to be the realm of recollection. Some are meaningless, and it is said to be the realm of sound and similar reasons and so on. One is its own nature, and it is said to be the realm of direct perception. Meaningless, it is said to be combs and so on. Even if it is the meaning of the nature of knowledge, it becomes meaningless, as has been said. Explaining other natures is other reasons. Here, too, it is said as before, that there are other reasons, that is, for whom wisdom will arise, that is general, not a certain clinging, because rabbit horns and so on will also become like that.

However, if there are other reasons, then regardless of whether it is located in a permissible realm, as long as there is an expectation of manifestation in things, that itself is the characteristic of generality. This indicates that if it is located in a permissible realm and there is an expectation of it, then it is not a generality, but its own characteristic. Alternatively, this is called another explanation. In the former case, "other reasons" refers to seeing and effort, etc. If so, then for the realm-holder, the mind's realm depends on being located in a permissible realm, so other reasons are considered to be eyes, etc. The so-called "other reasons" are that even if there are eyes, etc., but since it is not located in a permissible realm, the mind that holds it will not arise. Expressing this is "by its own nature," etc. Slowly, "by its own nature," etc. summarizes the main points. On this, argue with "if," etc. If, because the way of knowing is different, the realm is described as two kinds, even so, it is not an explanation of the difference of valid cognition. Obscuring is also an argument made because the fault has not been seen. For all conceptualizations, a contradiction is expressed in one verse. Someone might think, since there are not two valid cognitions, will there be two objects of valid cognition? To dispel this doubt, it is said, "However, through two valid cognitions." Since two realms are two valid cognitions, and two valid cognitions are also two realms, they are interdependent. This is not unestablished. If the objects of valid cognition are not described as two kinds depending on two valid cognitions, but the two valid cognitions are established by the two objects of valid cognition themselves, then it is not interdependent. If you think so, then say "three valid cognitions," etc. The meaning is that just as what is known by direct perception is direct perception, and what is known by inference is inference, what is known by knowledge is what should be indicated, what is measured by approximation is what should be approximated, and through understanding the meaning, etc., it is not to establish the realm of understanding the meaning, so it is inherently contradictory. In this way, whichever approximation of the realm the object of valid cognition is, that is established by the entry of the classification of valid cognition.
