Moreover, if, according to the reasoning that internal and external objects are the same, then not only does the internal become the support. External things like flower garlands and sandalwood would also become causes. If one thinks that it is acceptable for that to happen, that is not allowed, because others also do not want to accept only external things. If someone thinks that happiness, etc., always arise by being shown closely by internal things, therefore external things would also become accepted things, then it is said, "At what time." If someone thinks, how is it that internal limbs are not regarded as being close? Then it is said, "Seeing lovely things, etc." Because the way of experiencing internal things also arises inconsistently, similar attachments will also arise to some external things. The so-called "not relying on it" refers to internal things. It is not acceptance, because if that were the case, the external would also become the support, that is his meaning. If one thinks that it is acceptable for that to be the case, then it is said, "The object is." If one asks from where, then it is said, "Because of its reversal." No matter which object reverses, happiness and suffering will not reverse, because there are other objects, so how could the object become accepted? If this is the case, then how does the consciousness abiding in this body transfer to another body? What is said is also clear, for example, abandoning wandering in the internal object. The next life is the main place of birth. The word "etc." includes the intermediate state of existence. Where does the other body that exists there nourish. The combination with other objects that has already been said is "by this," meaning that it is clear that desire, etc., depend on the body. Gathering and encountering unpleasant places, etc., and the changes such as loss of memory resulting from this have also been explained. If one asks how this explains these, then it is said, "Internal things." The special characteristic of internal things is that the characteristic of unbearable tactile sensations is what produces painful thoughts. It also changes the mind by causing loss of memory. If this way exists only in this

It is said that it was not before. Therefore, if we combine it here as it is, what will happen? Therefore, it is said, "There also." "Also" is another order. It is not only from the body and so on, but also through taking in and so on, when the inner meaning is close, it also generates thoughts of happiness and so on. Therefore, it is thought that it should be combined here as it is. From the happiness and other thoughts generated by gathering and so on, it will turn into loss of memory and so on, just like wisdom and so on, which is the remaining part. What is said as "emphasizing" refers to "of the body." However, it is thought that it is only from becoming the object of knowledge of happiness and so on that it turns into loss of memory and so on. If, for example, the eyes and so on are the basis for the arising of eye consciousness and so on, then the body will also become the basis for the arising of wisdom and so on. Therefore, if you doubt whether combining it here as it is will achieve what is desired, then it is said, "How are the eyes and so on?" "Also" is the meaning of what must be grasped. The eyes and so on are its consciousness, and similarly, the changes through taking in and so on are also like that, because the body with characteristics is not observed, so it is not wisdom and faith, etc., which is the remaining part. If even if it is not observed, it will become a cause, then what is used to explain it? Therefore, it is said, "Without consciousness." Is the body that has not made happiness and other knowledge its object admitting the cause of happiness and so on, or will it become the cause of all knowledge? Because it does not become the cause of faith and so on, there is no difference in not understanding itself. If, because the dharmas are not the same, the body has not become the cause of faith and so on, but like the eyes and so on, will it become the basis in relation to happiness and so on? Therefore, it is said, "The eyes and so on are." If there are eyes, then its consciousness will continuously arise, and if it is reversed, it will also be reversed, and if it changes, it will also change, therefore it is the basis. Similarly, others should also be understood. It is not thought that they are the basis only in relation to consciousness.
