That is just so. The term "as it is" means realization. Because of definite realization, it is "as it is." If someone wonders, who says this, whether anyone has seen something similar? Therefore, it is said, "Whoever." Thinking that happiness and suffering will increase. Continuum also naturally possesses love, so love arises. For those in whom incorrect attention predominates, desire arises, but not hatred. Therefore, since it does not follow increase and so on, it is thought that desire and so on are not the cause of increase and so on. If someone doubts, then happiness and suffering will become the cause, because they do not contradict the cause of the body through transmission. Worldly wanderers say that desire and so on arise from happiness and suffering. Then, how do they say it? It is said, "If one experiences happiness." The happiness that arises from this is happiness, which is determined by examining the opposite difference. Or, the thing that possesses happiness is happiness, which is called happiness by the power of self-awareness. Similarly, one should also understand what has become suffering. Following is possessing. Because it is so, it is also said to arise from happiness and suffering. Just relying on the view of worldly wanderers, in order to welcome the doubts of others who think that hatred arises from suffering, it is said, "In happiness." "Just through it" means just through that happiness. It awakens the previous improper attention. Some say that happiness awakens improper attention through that previous happiness. There, considering the continuity of happiness, the previous happiness itself awakens improper attention. Therefore, it is reasonable to say, "In happiness, desire follows." For suffering, it means that hatred will follow, which is the remainder. This is synonymous with saying, "How is it reasonable for hatred to arise?" For this question, the answer of the worldly wanderers is, "Suffering is." It means only hatred, not desire.

Oṃ! Thus, it is said to arise from happiness and suffering. To clarify the meaning of "sometimes," this refutes by saying "here." The word "whatever" is related to "here." It should be understood that the statement that attachment and hatred arise sequentially from happiness and suffering is not absolute. Why is it not so? Because it is said in the sutra, even if the mind is suffering. Individually, to correctly understand and clarify through power is to understand individually, that is, to possess such understanding. Because one's own suffering becomes the cause, various harmful sufferings will arise, and from the inference of credible teachings, the root will arise for harmful things, not hatred. The meaning of "attachment also" is that not only does affection arise for harmful things, but also attachment arises for the cause of eliminating suffering. Even without individual understanding, but because some things are inherently good, there is less hatred, that is, less for things that eliminate suffering, while attachment eliminates the arising of suffering. This shows that even if happiness is recognized, through association with the practice of unpleasant things, hatred and attachment will also decrease. Therefore, happiness and so on do not change with increase and decrease. These are also merely causes. Therefore, he thinks, how does the body become a cause through transmission? If neither is the body itself the cause, then "if" and so on. Why is it not produced that way? It is said in the sutra, because the body is the support. It is not because of approaching and accepting. At that time, merely approaching is the object of knowledge. If the body also becomes the object, why is it not the support of the mind that is the producer of happiness and so on? It is said in the sutra, the object is happiness and so on. Those of happiness and suffering. At that time, the object of proximity is the same inside and out, therefore, if it is not the support of happiness and so on, then how can one view the support of the mind stream through it? Because of what?
