If so. The continuation of sandalwood is sandalwood, but fire is not, because fire is the temporary cause of smoke. The continuation of sandalwood does not arise from fire, because fire is common to acacia and so on. When the fire goes out, the cause of sandalwood does not disappear, because even without fire, the continuation of sandalwood does not disappear. Similarly, it should be appropriately explained in other things as well. Therefore, there is no fault in what was just said. Then, will water become useless in all cases? No, (the scripture) says, for seedlings and so on. That is, the so-called "it disappears then it disappears" refers to dryness and so on. However, if that is the case, water is not the proximate cause of the nature of Salu. Its situation is that it arises from it, and it disappears then it disappears, so will it become the proximate cause? Therefore, (the scripture) says "water." This is only the proximate cause, we have a cut-off, this is an undertaking. The nature of Salu is composed of eight things, different from the factors that work together, and exists temporarily. To this, arrange it as it is, without any omissions. In this way, by showing the faultlessness of the definition that the cause of continuation itself is the proximate cause, in order to also show the definition stated by the teacher, (the scripture) says "from water and so on." To this, the fact that the cause of the continuation of consciousness itself is the proximate cause of the body, the body initially arises from the body, this situation will be eliminated later. By transforming there in the way of transformation, the body itself is the proximate cause, eliminating by way of gathering, that is "therefore," because it is not so, therefore it is not the proximate cause. Why? Answer: The body does not change, that is, there is no decay and growth. Because it will change, that is, because it will decay and grow. This meaning is the clarification of the Commentary on Pramāṇasamuccaya, that is, "when explaining it." Showing that the body is just like that, that is, "even if the body does not change." "Therefore" means that it is not the proximate cause.

Therefore. How are the cow and the calf? Answer: Although it does not change, it is because of the change. The cow and the calf are distinguished by their respective circumstances, so there is no annihilation, as it is said, the so-called cow calf. Others say: If so. It is not transformed into fault or merit, this is one fault. Taking close and so on is the second fault. The answer to the first is: body and mind are also the same. Like a cow and a calf, these two are not taken closely, nor are they born from taking closely. The answer to the second is: the remaining three sentences. The nature of body and mind is the simultaneous existence of the fruit of birth. Why? Body and mind are accustomed to each other, the cause of the two, such as soft and moist, etc., and the co-born mind, which is made at the same time, because they make each other at the same time. For example, the melting of nothing and copper. Therefore, it is thought that even if it is not taken closely and born from taking closely, it should also exist at the same time. How can we get rid of the previous argument in this way? Answer: Here. The summary is: the object of the circumstantial cause. The object is the body. If so, if it is extinguished, will it also be extinguished? Answer: Circumstances make it. The meaning of the word Ni is obvious. If so, then what is the cause of taking closely? By remembering the nature of taking closely in one's own words, it shows that when it is extinguished, the cause is also extinguished. Answer: The constant cause is. However, when the circumstantial cause is extinguished, the cause will also be extinguished. Therefore, thinking that it will also become a close taker? Answer: The fire is extinguished. In this way, it should be known that when the fire is extinguished, the circumstances of the smoke of sandalwood will also be extinguished. The cause of the circumstances is extinguished, but it is not the meaning of constant extinction. The summary of the second answer is: the mind is with the body. If the body and mind are accustomed to each other, the two are not the fruit, only one or with another body
