It is called "Ba". What is called "what" refers to which body it is done to. "That" refers to the nature of the body, like the hardness of gold. What is called "if" refers to others. Only consciousness is the cause. It is thought that things that cannot be proven will disappear. What cannot be cured is irreversible, not all the slight changes in circumstances. If one admits the side of worldly beauty, then one admits that the only fault is inconsistent behavior, therefore, inconsistency becomes unprovable. What is called "non-provable" refers to explanation. What cannot be proven is non-provable, that is, any incarnation and near things. Those that are both incarnations and near things, and are not incarnations and near things, the transformations caused by those things can eliminate the characteristics of the reversal of consciousness, that is, worldly fame. Because it is difficult to obtain, it is said that because it does not exist, it is to show that it is close to non-existence. The sutra says that other sects will also change in that way, referring to consciousness. In the sect of worldly far-throwers, there is no non-provable inconsistency. Then, it refers to others, which is reasonable for our side. "That does not exist" refers to the answer. The meaning is that if the transformation is irreversible, then at this time, the difficult-to-obtain treatment itself becomes not the cause of resurrection. Even if the transformation is reversed, the treatment itself is meaningless. What is called "to others also" refers to those who speak of the afterlife. If worldly beauty also has non-provable, then what is the fault? If it is not so, then how will it be for you, this is the meaning of the debater. Why? The sutra says so. It is thought that those who are worldly beautiful do not have the master of previous karma. Here, the non-provable of the disease does not refer to the near, but refers to all the transformations caused by that becoming the master. After explaining one's own sect well in this way, this fault of resurrection is only from others.

The way of explaining by ending with "therefore" is called "because of that reason." Therefore, consciousness is not caused by the body, so the cause of consciousness is the previous consciousness itself. Therefore, the change of the body does not cause the change of consciousness. Or, even if the body is the cause of consciousness, the change of the body does not necessarily cause the change of consciousness, because the change of the cause alone does not cause the change of all the results. To explain this reason, it is said "also." If you think that the body itself is the proximate cause, then it is said "the body also." Why? Because if it is so, it is said "if it is so." The body will not change. The so-called "will not change" here refers to consciousness. If so, the body itself will become the proximate cause of consciousness. If you think so, it is said "the body is the cause even if." Why? Because it is said "even if it does not change." Therefore, the body is not the proximate cause. Then, how about consciousness? The answer is: "Even if it changes, it will inevitably change." The reason for saying this is that "even if it changes, it does not necessarily change," which is the reason to refute that the body is the cause. The (content) starting with "if" etc. belongs to other (debaters). This explains the fault of being too broad. By establishing other definitions, temporarily refuting it is not what is to be explained. The so-called "continuity" refers to the cause of the continuity of rice. If water itself is not the cause of continuity? Then, how to avoid the fault of being too broad? The answer is: "It is also the cause of continuity." If so, then what does it depend on for water that is not the cause? So it is said "of water." If you think that the arising of the cause also arises from that (water), the answer is: "from water." Why? The answer is: "water is." In this way, by explaining that there is no following, the fault of being too broad in the definition of the proximate cause is avoided, and it is explained by way of refutation, so it is said "even if the water changes." If you say that if there is fire, there is a continuity of smoke, but that is not the proximate cause, the answer is: "No, because it is the proximate cause of the continuity of sandalwood."
