Etc. When imitating forms in drawing, the craftsman's knowledge is the knowledge of forms. The word 'etc.' refers to the knowledge of colors, etc., that is, those that follow it. If one wonders how it is an example of both, the answer is: it relies on the wall, that is, the nature of the wall. In this regard, the body of this world is like a wall. Parents are like painters. The remaining parts that match the example are easy to understand. Although both aspects of nature and result are present, they are indicated by other examples, such as mango, etc. For the wall, the nature of painting itself depends on effort, but not for the mango. Similarly, for the wall, like the position of the father, the painting arises only from another painter, but not from another wall that is a substitute for another body. Smoke arises from fire, not from somewhere else; this is the difference. Stating the third aspect, which is the power of liking that depends on alcohol. Depending on alcohol is the dharma of alcohol. Similarly, it means that at the time of destruction, it does not depend on others, nor does it come from somewhere else. This shows that neither the previous nor the subsequent worlds exist. Here, what is the difference between the aspects of nature and dharma? In reality, there is no difference, but it is only distinguished by words. Different words are due to being overly attached to different things, while being overly attached to things that are not different is nature itself. The nature of a vase, although one wants to say it is different, is actually overly attached to things that are not different. Similarly, the redness of a mango, the painting on a wall, is also just nature. In terms of ability, one uses different ways to refer to things that are not different. When ability is also the nature of the one with ability, following it, when one wants to say the painting on the wall, the redness of a mango, the aspects of nature and dharma are also reversed, so the difference is not that itself, but only an expanded meaning. Alternatively, the way of others is only like this, so there is no fault. It is also said as such, that is, by Phurbu.

The word "thatness" is a statement of dharma, but here it refers to the meaning that is completely determined by fame and valid cognition. The statement "the very nature of earth, etc." is a statement of distinction, meaning "it is not space, etc." Thatness is that, and what is not thatness is not. If earth, etc., are not thatness, then is it only consciousness, or would all phenomena become emptiness? If these two are thatness, then it is clarified in order to ascertain that "thatness is indeed thatness." "The collection of that" refers to the collection of earth, water, fire, and wind. The explanation of thatness is called "immeasurable." Phabs is the dregs of alcohol. The word stsongs-pa'i refers to water, etc. "Like a painting" refers to the wall. Because it is its nature, the redness of a mango should also be understood. "Like smoke" is because it is a fruit. A painting in relation to a painter should also be understood. "Seeing transference" means seeing transference from elsewhere to here, or from here to elsewhere. Because there is no that, there is no earlier or later birth. That is its meaning. "Earth, water, fire, and wind in that" is to refute the sutra of the word "thatness," which is called "not thatness." If so, then would the nature of form, etc., become thatness? Answer: Those have also been said to be five. "Different from" means different from form, etc. Refuting the meaning of the one who mainly grasps earth, etc., as thatness is called "the proof of momentariness, etc." Therefore, the statement "thatness is only four kinds" is unreasonable. To refute the fixed grasping of number, another statement is made, which is called "another." "To be seen" means to be experienced. The five supports are the five senses. "Thatness is indeed thatness" is the word spoken to all emptiness in order to refute it. If all emptiness has valid cognition, then at that time all emptiness is not emptiness, because there is valid cognition that establishes it. If what is called emptiness, valid cognition is also emptiness. At that time, everything is absent, and there is no valid cognition that establishes all phenomena as emptiness.
