What is it for? If it is said that this is the fruit of constant happiness, that is also unreasonable. Because from the part of affliction, it will become constant happiness, which is unreasonable. If you think that just like happiness, affliction also exists constantly, then it is not liberation, because like a samsaric being, it is connected with affliction. "From that itself" means from the austerity itself such as giving. "Merit and wisdom" means that whatever is done by austerity to completely abandon karma is the power of other afflictions. If you think that affliction itself is austerity, then it is said, "Affliction itself is." If you think that austerity itself is the fruit of karma, then it is said, "The fruit of karma itself." Why? Because it is said, "Hot and cold." If "that is" means austerity. If you ask what is the fruit of karma, it is said, "By karma." The absence of desire is the absence of desire for the fruit of karma. Therefore, others think that livestock etc. should not be austerity itself. "Kingship" means taking. If whatever is accomplished by desire is not the fruit of karma, then, since kingship etc. are obtained by desire, is it not the fruit of karma? If you think that no one has seen obtaining kingship by desire, then what kind of karma makes one obtain kingship together with desire? There is also such karma, because there is no measure of abandoning. "If" means stating a contradiction with the commitment. That is austerity affliction. Therefore, by experiencing the affliction of austerity, the sin of making such affliction will be exhausted. Therefore, it is because the karma imposed on kingship is not exhausted. Therefore, it is because it must be experienced without doubt. If that is the case, then even suffering itself must be experienced without doubt, such as the suffering of hell, because by experiencing suffering, karma will be exhausted, and is experiencing suffering not experiencing the suffering of hell? The suffering of austerity is related to pulling hair etc.

English

The term "uncertain" refers to the suffering of hoarseness, etc. Your statement, "Did nothing wrong or what wrong was done?" is uncertain due to the suffering of livestock. If abandoning the happiness of kingship, etc., is not harmful because of becoming the master of habituated non-attachment, then the suffering of hell, etc., is also not harmful because of becoming the master of equanimity and habit. Therefore, saying "What to do with affliction?" means "other." The "that" in it refers to liberation. If you wonder, "How is it not harmful?" it is due to the power of habit. Therefore, this means "it is harmful." This liberation is only the nature of equanimity, not the nature of happiness. Therefore, saying "harming desire" means "therefore." "Karma exists" refers to cultivating loving-kindness, etc. "You yourself" refers to the Buddha. "Loving-kindness, etc., which prevents faults such as hatred," is also capable of reversing the karma produced by hatred, and is a preventer. Why? Because it has destroyed the faults of beings, because it has abandoned them. How can karma that has been done, accumulated, and fully grasped be destroyed? That which is abandoned without cause is not undone. Because there is no harm from karma that has been done, only the karma of knowing what others clearly desire will wander in samsara. Furthermore, saying "In the last birth, all the fruits of karma are experienced" is not something that can be known by a means of knowledge other than the body. The ripening of happiness and suffering from many births, the fruits of karma that are sequential, cannot be experienced in a single moment by a single body. If the Buddha has no disappearance of karma, the cause of disappearance, such as confession, cannot be known other than from scripture. Even if karma exists, craving, etc., will arise, because that is its cause. The greed of pigeons, etc., the hatred of snakes, etc., are born from the karma of the delusion of creatures such as Sakara.

Therefore, if one doubts that it is indeed samsara, then faults do not arise from actions. However, it arises from improperly attending to the view of self and the view of what belongs to self. Saying that evil is the cause of karma is called 'that which can cause loss.' Faults such as attachment are capable of arising from themselves because attachment and hatred are seen as making the self. If there is no self-grasping or clinging, saying that even if there is something else, it only does not act is called 'because of the opposite.' If an Arhat has exhausted the view of the perishable aggregate, the happiness of that body is not born without an object. Mental happiness arising from discrimination is transformed. The desire to manifest arises in the nature of that which is subsequently grasped. This is also said to be suffering. Thus, if one doubts how there can be liberation since it is the agent of karma, it is said to be a perverse thought. Desire is craving that arises from perversely examining the self and what belongs to the self. If there is no fixed grasping of that place of birth, then it does not arise. Desire is not in what is experienced, and the thought of seeking meaning in the future is not possible for those who have abandoned discrimination. The temporary happiness arising from meditation is not an object of desire and superimposition. The habituation of suffering also does not arise in those who have abandoned the habituation of self-grasping, because the habituation of self-grasping should arise from an object that has the potential to create habits of reality. Therefore, evil is attachment, etc.
