Therefore, relying on direct perception and non-perception is not good, because self-nature has abandoned the kalpa, and is only a realm with observable objects, and because of the reversal of sentient beings, the reversal of mere fruit is not established, so, in order, for those who rely on certainty and doubt for what is to be established and what establishes, they do not abandon uncertainty. Preventing contradiction with a measure that harms it can also be eliminated by this alone. Thus, if it is also certain that the collection of fruits is what is to be established, then, where does the saying that the collection depends on the purusha come from? Because it is seen in this way. If so, then the means of proof that follows and contradicts, the function of direct perception and inference, all come. Moreover, it has already been shown that this is the realm of the difference of kinds. Therefore, whatever kind thinks that the collection depends on the purusha, that kind is contradictory, not just the fruit. If there is no effort of the purusha, it becomes a collection of causes, then it will become all the time, this statement is also unreasonable, because it is not seen that the complete maturation of all causes with common functions, relying on the tradition, is only occasionally reasonable. Even without the action of sentient beings, it is also seen that fire is produced from a collection of wood piles with the characteristic of smoke. For knowing the unseen, it should be refuted like the fruit of sound and so on. For the inference of smoke, because there is no occasion for refutation, it is not the same. Refuting the function of relying on direct perception, this is like having wisdom, for the direct knowledge of closeness and so on, which are to be established, is also common. Although explaining the difference between closeness and other direct knowledge by means of pleasure-making and so on can eliminate the means of proof by what has already been established, it is impossible to want to establish it in that way. Because the author of the fruit of what kind of kind is inferred, and, for it, its closeness and other direct knowledge are themselves. Therefore, there is nothing unwanted for this. From where it will definitely become knowing a lot, all the kinds of fruits made by the purusha.

For all things, it is not necessarily the case that there is only one agent, because the actions of many are also seen. As for the omniscient one, to abandon it is enough; to speak of it further is meaningless. Therefore, by relying on reason that can be grasped by merely having intelligence, the pervasiveness that relies solely on direct perception is refuted. The relationship between the entities of various different desired things is none other than cause and effect, and that is the only way to show that it has not been established. Therefore, following epistemology, other than direct perception and non-apprehension, there is no proof for the establishment of cause and effect. Even when relying on that, it is because the particularity itself determines the entities of cause and effect. It is only by following direct perception that it is refuted. Therefore, it is reasonable to argue for shapes and so on in this way, and it should be viewed in this way. In this way, after stating the reason as proof, by stating that inferring its result is also reasonable, that itself is explained, which is called shape, the characteristic of shape. What is called the entity itself is doing meaningful things. Now, to dispel the doubt about what is the meaning of the explanation of the particular change, it is said, "It is not other," that is, inferring the potter from other things such as mountains, or inferring reason from approaching grains and so on, or inferring the unseen, it is not like that. In this way, all of this, through the explanation of the treatise writer, the pervasiveness of different entities such as pots, for the intelligent one who has fully established it, the word shape, because the sound is the same, it is not reasonable to infer from mountains and so on that have no difference. For that very reason, inferring the reason for approaching mountains and so on is also abandoned, and because the pervasiveness is not understood, inferring what is seen is also abandoned, for example, gray gray, because the sound is the same, inferring the characteristic of gray from the gray substance that has no difference, just as it is not reasonable to infer the fully established fire. Explaining this is what is called "if." The characteristic of the agent is the potter and so on.
