If inference is grasped only through the aspect of distinguishing it from others, what fault would there be? Because, according to the previously explained manner, it is unavoidable to understand the pervasion only with respect to smoke. What is relevant now is that it has already been shown that there is no understanding of pervasion. Precisely because of this, even a pot that goes to the market can only infer a similar manufacturing process. It is not inferred through the appearance of mountains, etc. Understanding things like temples, which are very dissimilar, is the result of grasping the pervasion separately. Precisely because of this, at that time, one cannot infer a craftsman with special skills, i.e., one who does not possess the skill to make pots. If it is said that one can also infer the possession of special characteristics in mountains, etc., then, if one sees something being made on another mountain like another temple, then it can certainly be inferred. Therefore, if the directly perceived pervasion is grasped, then inference is not possible from the result alone, because it is established through being connected with a mind that has a special kind of result. And one cannot avoid being confused by grass, etc. Like this, the activity of direct perception and non-perception will not occur if there is no observable nature. Therefore, only the particularity of an observable embodied mind can understand the pervasion. And observability is established only when a person is not observed with respect to grass, etc. However, one merely wants to grasp cognition and pervasion that are separate from the particularity of observability. At that time, it is not dependent on direct perception. If one assumes the existence of an invisible mind to avoid confusion, then when one thinks that there is no result without that mind, where has that existence gone? How can distinction be established? The nature of cause and effect is the nature of following and distinguishing. If it is said that the distinction of the potter is the distinction of the mind, then the same would follow for things like growing grass, etc., and how could one avoid confusion? Therefore, the activity of the mind should be said to be the accomplishment of things like pots. If it is said that the activity of grasping the directly perceived pervasion depends only on the observable nature, and observability is only through abandoning kalpas (units of time) by nature, otherwise, it would fall into the fault of not having pervasion.

When an eon is abandoned by place and time, how can one know greed, etc., pervasively with the mind? Because the nature of others' continuums is an eon. If one wants to achieve reversal from somewhere, when a wrong thought arises, when the mind of greed reverses, how does one know that other minds also reverse? It is not so, because the very object of self-awareness, like being easy for other minds, does not reverse. If someone says that the self-awareness that enters into holding the pervasive is not present elsewhere, what is the use of this? Just as fire, the manifestation of holding the pervasive, is not present in other fires either. The establisher of the term 'seen' is the same as the object of such manifestation. The difference is that reason can never transcend what is seen by self-awareness, while fire is occasionally the object of sensory consciousness. Therefore, the seen, relying on one's own manifestation, is present in both. A moving fire cannot be accommodated by such a manifestation, therefore, one must determine the pervasiveness of fire by the clear and burning image that cuts off its meaning. Just as the ground of something is covered, similarly, there is no non-intellect in the types of minds. When the mind of desire is covered, other minds are not covered, but merely because there is no mind of desire, there is no greed, and the continuum of others is established. What is the use of saying that mind alone is not certain? Because if the difference is established, the common is established without effort. Or, just as inferring Ishvara, inferring the continuum of others is also unreasonable. To this, we merely admit, therefore there is no fault. Therefore, if a wise person wants to express the unique and pervasive with an observable body, and wants to determine it only by a mindful person who has achieved it, then it may change, but what is the loss? However, it is difficult to dispel confusion with grass, etc., so it remains there. Precisely for this reason, it was said, 'What kind of blessing is it?' Therefore, it is for the purpose of establishing the characteristic relationship of cause and effect.
