The different characteristics of actions are regarded as the same because the inverted nature appears here. It is not its own characteristic, because the knowledge mentioned earlier does not appear to it. The common basis is also said to be on itself, which refers to those things themselves. Appearing as inverted from not being a cow also appears as inverted from not being white. Therefore, the thing that appears as "cow", when it appears as "white", seems inseparable from it, because it itself is white. Therefore, although these two aspects appear separately in conceptualization, they appear unified through mutual connection, which itself is the common basis. Because what makes these two common, the third thing that becomes the common basis does not appear here either. Thinking "this is a cow" itself is a temporal cognition, and it itself has also become the nature of white. For this, just as the objects of consciousness are said to be the nature arising from inverted conceptualization through the way of "how to know and be different". Similarly, since the cognition of the connection of different things has not been established, the unity of the common basis is also merely the nature of the inverted meaning of more attachment, in order to show this, it is the function of self-nature. Like "my cow", not abandoning "I", that is its meaning. If asked what is abandoned, the answer is only attachment. Vairagya (梵文天城体:वैराग्य,梵文罗马拟音:vairāgya,汉语字面意思:Dispassion) is the absence of desire, because the word "vi" (梵文天城体:वि,梵文罗马拟音:vi,汉语字面意思:Without) has a negative meaning. Wanting the happiness of liberation on the self-nature, it is impossible not to have attachment on the self-nature, temporarily answering like this with self-evidence is "happiness". Now, through the meaning of the Commentary on Valid Cognition, it is expressed with "if". The so-called "that itself" is a doubt. The self-nature has not separated from attachment, but it is said that it has separated from attachment on the self-nature, that is its meaning. If it is said that the self-nature cannot be abandoned, then it is the same for separating from attachment, answering like this: "on the self-nature". "Why" is someone else's question. If attachment itself becomes separated from attachment, the answer to this is "that is in other aspects", that is, attachment.

Nor does it become something else that is separate from desire. The other, that is, being separate from desire, does not exist in that way with the nature of desire. Why is it not like that? It is called "Self-nature All." If the self-nature all changes in another way, then it is difficult to establish because it contradicts its own established limit. To clarify that it is difficult to establish if one part changes in another way, it is called "In One." For one self, there is no one part. Because if there is one part, then that self becomes not undifferentiated. Why is that? It is called "What is Said." Therefore, even if one part changes, the self does not change, this is what is to be shown. However, if one again thinks that if one part changes, the self changes, then there is also a statement for this, called "If it is like that." If one part changes, it will become endless, that is, that one part is different from another part, and that other part is also different from that other part, and so on. Therefore, the self does not change. Whatever part changes, that is also not the self. If one doubts and prevents the undifferentiated part, that is, if one says that one part will not become other, then it is called "If it is like that also." If it is not other, also. How is it endless? It is called "There also." Whatever is not other, now it will not change like the self, and whatever changes, that is other. If it is not other in some ways, then that point should be repeated. Therefore, there is no end. Because it is unreasonable to change from a state like that which is not separated from desire to being separated from desire. Therefore, it is the one who wants liberation. Even so, someone might say that practicing separation from desire is meaningless, called "How is that?" Because merely by abandoning the self, the separation from desire for things belonging to the self is established, therefore practicing separation from desire for it is meaningless. However, if one again thinks that one does not completely abandon the self in any way, therefore practicing separation from desire is meaningful, then, it is called "In what way is it meaningless?" Meaningless means unable. Why is that? Suffering
