The fault of not distinguishing separately is a valid measure. Explaining these verses is, it is called "from the perspective of view." This explains that "other is not reason." What introduces the Commentary on Valid Cognition is "if." "Even if it is other" refers to the nature of inverted clinging. "That" refers to ignorance. "The word of distinction" refers to the word of view of the aggregates of destruction. "General" is ignorance, because it is not its meaning. If "view" and "ignorance" are not different entities, then the same possession of relying on different entities will not be said to be, in order to welcome the doubt of the second controversy, it is "similarly." Because this contradicts, it is contradictory, it is a contradictory word. "To be said" refers to understanding the general and the specific. "Ignorance" is the general, and "view" is the specific. Saying "to cling to different entities with things that are also close to indication" is of others. "Also possessing the same nature as it" is also of some others. If, because of contradiction, seeing selflessness and separating from the view of self, how can it be understood as being separated from all afflictions? "Because the view of emptiness contradicts it." Thus it is said. Because the view of the aggregates of destruction contradicts it, everything that arises from it and has the cause of the view of self is contradictory. Therefore, it is the meaning of abandoning all afflictions. Approaching and combining with the meaning is "similarly." Its nature is the nature of the view of the aggregates of destruction. This eliminates the second controversy. The first is abandoned only by not admitting it, because the ignorance of the nature of the view of the aggregates of destruction itself is admitted by the Bhagavan as the main indication. Therefore, abiding in the view of self itself is ignorance. Like this, etc., is explained from "because the view of emptiness contradicts it." Thus, with the power of the power of seeing selflessness, etc., and saying that it is irreversible, the reason why the view of self is also irreversible is the nature of sentient beings, because this nature is like this, so from this other condition

Saying "because it is blocked by 'becoming immutable' etc." is not correct. The inexhaustible is precisely what cannot be reversed. Because it is the nature of sentient beings, it is the self-nature of sentient beings. Faults are not like form etc. Why? Because, like form and taste etc., clinging to self arises only from beginningless habitual tendencies, so it is not established as the nature of sentient beings. If one vows that clinging to self is also irreversible, it is contradictory to direct perception, like saying that fire is not hot. Because the opposing side is related to selflessness, that is, it has already manifested, so it can be reversed. If one thinks that because it is related to a part, like the hardness of copper, even if one sees selflessness, the view of clinging to self is reversed, but it will still arise again, and thus vows that it is not contradictory to direct perception, then in order to eliminate this doubt, the difference is stated: fault, the view of clinging to self is completely cut off, seeing selflessness, because that has become self, so there is no connection, because it exists nearby. Like that, the permanence associated with fire does not exist. Or even if it is separated, not everything reversed by it will arise again, even if the fire goes out, the hardness of the ashes will not recover, saying "like ashes." Like that, in the process of seeing the path of selflessness, saying that there is no need to cling to self, and then in order to eliminate doubts about the path, one refutes, that is, "if one should also cultivate self." Using words such as "one should think of self," one expresses the two words "one should know" and "one should practice." Therefore, the self that should be known is different from the great elements such as body and senses. The self that should be thought of is different from wisdom etc. Saying that one should practice is different from the nature of grasping objects etc. If one says that one should cultivate only with that self that has the nature of awareness, joy, and oneness, then, to this, first, if those who say that awareness etc. are different, when they say that, then at that time, clinging to self to it is actually related to clinging to what is mine, because it is the nature of attachment.
