That is what is said. If Just as seeing no-self harms the self that is clinging to self and what belongs to self, even if this becomes that self, it will only produce clinging to self and so on. Therefore, in order to dispel the doubt as to whether there is a difference between the completely transformed place and the contradictory, it is said, "If." Even if it becomes self, it is the path. If the faults of clinging to self and so on arise like the path, then it is not reasonable for the self that has become that path to produce faults. Because there is no ability, that is, because clinging to self and so on has no power, and the path is the opposite. "Alaya" refers to where the five aspects of consciousness arise from, that is the Alaya, this is the prophecy of the Yogacara school. Saying the completely pure nature, that is, "self and what belongs to self" is a question. Because of destroying the faults of clinging to self and what belongs to self, and so on, this is how it is connected. If you ask what destroys it, the answer is, because there is seeing no-self with merit. Conversely, if you say that merit and so on produce faults and are destroyed, it will not transform in that way, this is a question. Merit is the answer. Seeing no-self is the nature of having things as its object. The faults of clinging to self and so on are because they are the opposite of this, because there is no object, so it is not the nature. If the consciousness of clinging to self and so on is also produced from beginningless habits, it has a cause. Because it has a cause of the object, because it is the opposite of this, because there is no object, so it is not the nature. Clinging and seeing no-self are not different. Why would one become a harmer, and the other, even if it has a cause, would not be like that, and there would be no difference in the causes of the object, the question is, "How could that be?" Explaining the difference is, consciousness is the dharma of clinging to the object. Like clinging to a fish bladder, the nature is without harm. Even if it has a cause, the clinging without an object is like clinging to a fish bladder as silver, that

Having generated "it is not like this," the nature of destruction is not like that. Why? Because it is the clinging to bliss as it exists. What is the meaning of what is going to be explained? The sound of "ete" should also be added here. This explains the reason why abiding in consciousness does not harm. Saying that it abides in the object also means that the object is also the generator of this consciousness. Even in delusion, this is the same, so the special feature is that it establishes its own nature. Even if it is the generator of delusion, it does not generate with its own nature. "Ete" is the meaning of therefore. The sound of "also" is summarized in consideration of the reason for abiding in consciousness. If it is said, how can it not harm the one who has become the master of the nature of the path? Why is it said that the nature of consciousness does not harm? Because it is said, "Consciousness is." "By what" refers to the clinging to the object. "Its" refers to consciousness. "Reversal" refers to "Consciousness is." "For those who are not intelligent" refers to those who do not have object clinging. "Because there is no such thing" means because there is no consciousness itself. If it is thought that object clinging is its nature, then how does it exist? It is said, "As it exists," add it as before. There are also two reasons for seeing selflessness, so the root is said in a concluding way, "Therefore." What is separated from these two reasons is clinging, but it is not nature, because it harms, so it is said, "The other is its nature." "This is" refers to object clinging. That consciousness arises from this nature. "By condition" means that there is no reason to abide in the object. "Delusion" means that there is no reason for consciousness to abide in itself. If it is thought that there is no reason for reversal, then how is it known? Because it is in what place, therefore, the condition of harm as the reason for reversal is not shown, because it is not nature, it is not essence. An example of not being nature is like an illusionary mind.
