It is as. How is its nature realized by whom? Because there is no measure. Like this, is it realized by the former and the latter? Or is it realized by one? To this, for the time being, it is said that it is not by the former and the latter, because there is no realization that the former and the latter themselves are different. Saying "if it is known from the knowledge of before and after" is what it means. The necessity is this: if the realizations of the former and the latter themselves realize the former and the latter themselves, then at that time it is also possible to establish others there, and for their difference, realizing the nature of the former and the latter, then there is no measure at all. In order to welcome the doubt that there is a measure of self-awareness, it is "if". Answering that, for self-awareness, the former and the latter themselves of knowledge or knowable do not exist, is "from that". Self-awareness from that, the former and the latter themselves will not be realized. Even if it is another realization, because it is holding close, it is said that the former holding the latter or the former does not exist, there is no before and after, its realization is realized by them. The knowledge of the former or the latter is not mutually different, because it is one. In order to welcome the doubt of the second party, it is "if first". "If one" is the answer. In order to make this clear, it is "the very one that is appearing". If again doing first, the things of the former and the latter do not appear, then for the distinction, it is only appearance, in order to welcome the doubt, it is "if the former is not". Answering that, distinction is not the nature of doing first, but is the memory itself that relies on the power of habit, is "this is the sign", that is, realizing the former itself. "That realization is not" is that the former itself is not realized. In order to welcome the doubt that it is realized because it is related to it, it is "this". "This" is of the former itself. "Because it exists even without it, so there is no connection with it", answering "its" is how to say. Without it, it is without the former itself. This negates the things that are directly cause and effect. Through indirect cause and effect

After harboring doubts about things, saying "This is not what is needed at the moment," is called "cause." "Just that" means just by the things of cause and effect. "However, the clinging of discriminations is a stronger clinging," after harboring this doubt, the meaning of what is said is "is." "From the opposite side," refers to from a stronger clinging. If it is said, "What is to be taken is the cause itself, isn't the taker also the effect itself?", just like what is said, "If you know that taking on the cause itself is reasonable, you should know." "This memory also has not been lost," after harboring this doubt, it is said, "because it is separated by experience." For memory, experience itself is the ability, because it is the meaning of following its habits. The memory arising from the power of experience also only clings more to half of its object, and not to the previous itself, etc., because that is taken by experience. "The previous experience" is said like this. The latter does not cling to its previous itself, this is how it is connected. "Therefore, not clinging." Because it follows the directly perceived, memory also does not make it exist, this is its meaning. Therefore, the previous itself, etc., is only recognized by the discriminations arising from beginningless habits, this is called "past directly perceived." Therefore, the meaning of becoming before and after does not exist, because it is not seen. Up to this point, one nature that follows in the before and after has been excluded. Now, for the before and after, one itself exists, and existence is also only from what is seen outside, because not acknowledging this view is a valid person, so the refutation is spoken, which is "However." "Those" refers to birth, etc. "Why won't those exist?", the answer is, "Because it does not possess its things." For the birth, etc., that exist in what way, it is impossible for birth, etc., to exist separately. However, if it is also acknowledged that birth, etc., exist separately on those, then, because acknowledging that and that is endless, existence cannot be established. Therefore,
