That which has its cause, at the time of its cause, has the nature of another cause. At the time of another cause, it also has its cause. If it is definite, then it will only become causeless. To combine with the meaning is to say, 'Thus it is.' By the power of what example does suffering become causeless? That which refutes that is to say, 'When there is existence.' 'That' refers to following one's own cause and following what is contrary. 'Those' refer to the sharpness of thorns, etc. If that is the case, then how does suffering become with cause, and how do feelings, etc., become with cause? To contemplate this is to say, 'Thus it is.' At that time, take it out from the heart and combine it with those differences. If you ask, 'How does it become causeless?' then the cause, pine tree, is mentioned. To dispel the doubt that it is causeless because the cause is uncertain, it is said, 'However, even a blacksmith.' 'Therefore' means 'because it is made by a blacksmith.' 'Thus' means 'causelessness itself.' To answer by thinking that it is produced by one's own mind of karma is called 'wisdom preceding.' If the thorns of the pine tree, etc., are no different from the sharpness made by a blacksmith, then likewise, that also becomes a cause with wisdom. If that is the case, then it also becomes the maker of Ishvara. Ishvara is also no different from the nature of mind. For what reason is it like that? For that reason, the thorns of the pine tree, etc., are not causeless. That example is from the sharpness made by a blacksmith. If so, to dispel the doubt of difference is called 'difference.' In the sharpness of iron and pine tree, with the recognition of difference, is the one with wisdom the cause? The answer is, 'There is a difference.' The difference that exists in the sharpness of the thorns of iron and pine tree is with cause, not without a definite cause. That which is spoken is called 'someone.' Whatever fruit arises from the seed of the pine tree, that is not from the blacksmith, etc. Therefore, it is not indefinite in cause, that is the meaning. If it is made of gold that has been calculated and transformed?
