No. The so-called "that" is the difference in the general characteristics of phenomena that are said to "have others," in some specific differences. Such qualities are those that will be explained, those that are initially non-existent, like the qualities of whiteness, etc. Those phenomena that are manifest and unmanifest, whatever is inseparable, is a phenomenon because it is the reason. When a phenomenon exists, the quality of having heat is one that separates itself, and in some cases, the very nature does not change from the beginning, because it does not depend on it, which is the meaning of that. The so-called "existing" is to transform the difference of phenomena into other distinctions, and also to show it as the difference of qualities, thinking that both can be understood. If, for example, warmth is fire, then whiteness, etc., is pūlu. Therefore, if it disappears, then only disappears. To dispel this doubt, there are words such as "by what." If heat, etc., disappears, then the object of cognition of fire does not disappear. In others, if whiteness, etc., disappears, and another nature arises, then the object of cognition of pūlu, such as touch, disappears. To answer this, there is the saying "that is true." The so-called "even without that" is the absence of the difference in color. In difference, it is touch. Therefore, the so-called adornment of speech is to say that even though there is no arising of change, the desire for change does not depend on arising, thinking that even though it exists, it may be absent in some places. Also, although fire is another entity, the warmth of having heat is not permanently inseparable from it, because it is inseparable from it, it is born and destroyed together. Thus, desire, etc., is also inseparable from the body, but even though it exists, it can be separated. Therefore, some bodies can be separated from desire, because they are those with the heat of difference, like the color of clothes, which is the meaning of that. Like form, etc., it is not definite. This is to explain this verse, hence it is said: or the nature of fire. When the nature of fire follows, warmth is a special order.

Even if it exists, it is not separate from arising. Because it follows, warmth will not completely disappear, that's what he thought. If it is thought that desire and so on will also change in the same way, then "so" is said. If, like fire following, warmth does not disappear, then is it not that desire and so on will not completely disappear when arising with a bodily form follows? Why? Because disappearance is possible. Disappearance is only direct realization, that's what he thought. If sometimes it is doubted that the power of desire is not that it will not disappear, then "power" is to eliminate this doubt. "Not" is negation. From what? Because "power" is said. Power is something other than desire. That is, desire and so on. Therefore, even if it is not interrupted, desire and so on are not that they will not disappear, that's what he thought. Saying "all powers are not that they will not disappear" is "power also". Sometimes it refers to seeds smeared with sesame oil. Similarly, for arising with a bodily form, the power of desire and so on will also disappear, that is the meaning. Because of this, even if there is no desire, arising with a bodily form exists, precisely because of this reason, what did the author of Pramāṇavārttika say? He said "not certain". Desire and so on refer to the situation. If, like any kind of white and so on disappears, before a ghost eats it, desire and so on will also become any kind, in order to eliminate this doubt, he said "like form etc.". Certainty means that there is no other, but the nature of any other existence. Why? Because form etc. are not different from arising with a bodily form. Because if they do not exist with each other, they will not arise. Without form etc., there is no arising, or without arising, there is no form etc. If it is doubted that the body will not arise without desire etc.? Then "if the same" is to eliminate this doubt. "Not" is negation. Why? Because wherever desire etc. arise together with the arising of the body alone, there will be a fault.
