Therefore, this would become samsara, not Ishvara, because it does not possess the qualities mentioned earlier. This is refuted with ridicule, i.e., "Whatever," etc. Whoever denies seeing the example, claiming that this (thing) is Ishvara because of its excellent qualities, can he tolerate that an inherently established thing that has not seen an example also exists elsewhere? If it cannot be tolerated, then it is indeed intolerable. This is shown through the previous example, i.e., "Whatever," etc. The term "increasingly higher" refers to Ishvara. The term "nature" refers to other different states. Following it means following the increase of merit, because there is an example. The term "followed" refers to denying that it becomes excellent by its power. Because there is no example, for the obviously desired Ishvara, what reason is there to believe in an inherently established thing that has no following? Just as whatever is Ishvara is accomplished through the increase of merit, such as the senses, etc. Abiding in the ultimate perfection is also Ishvara, and through this argument to be established, the assembly of noble beings has been made to follow, and where can an inherently established thing be seen? Therefore, since there is no following, it is shown to be without measure. For this established argument, there will be no dispute that the basis is not established, because the intention is to merely state the mutual contradictions with other tenets. If it is considered Ishvara, then it must be considered accomplished through the increase of merit, therefore this is not a good reason. However, if it is not considered accomplished through the increase of merit, then at that time it would become Ishvara. Therefore, relying on the already promised reason of the result and the unseen cause, these two inherently established natures that are established through inference cannot promise such a meaning, this is the main point. How does it pervade? Even if there is not a single increase of merit, there is no Ishvara, and even if there is, there is Ishvara, because the things of cause and effect have been established, so what is the use of relying on such a change in any way? Even so, it is disturbed by doubts from inconsistent aspects.
