"O" means "This is our side." The concluding word is "therefore." "There is no action on it" means "There is no action of producing what does not exist." "Wanting to enjoy it" means "Wanting to enjoy the potter and others." "For entering" is a synonym for "for acting." To welcome the doubts of those who speak of Isvara, it says, "However, the Purusha," referring to the conventional Purushas who have the nature of intelligence and senses, etc. "It is not so" means that if there is no one who is free from desire, etc., then who will show the shape and color, etc.? It should be connected in this way. "The thought is this: Whatever shape and color, etc., someone wants, it should be shown by the Pradhana. And that desire is also shown by someone who determines it separately, so even if it is close, it will become that way due to habit. If it is not shown, then because there is no habit, what will the Pradhana show?" The Samkhya's thought is that although desire is not produced from being determined separately after being shown by Isvara, it is produced from habit. For example, the desires of the performers are produced from the close showing without beginning. Therefore, dance will become pleasant due to gestures such as coquetry, and sometimes seeing it once will make you want to watch it again and again. Similarly, in order to prevent the beings in samsara from wanting to watch it again and again, the differences in the various transformations of intelligence, etc., will be shown. "The desires of beings will change in that way, but if because of that thought, the Pradhana has no mind, then how can it be understood?" Therefore, it says, "Because it is not understood." In order to clarify that the already stated absence of mind is the cause, it says, "This is not reasonable." "That cause" refers to the cause of things. "However, one cause is not aimed at the nature of mind, but everything is also like that, how can this be understood?" Therefore, it says, "The cause of things is." The cause without mind is not unreasonable.

If all causes are endowed with realization, then what is the need to make pills, such as "ra," and other things round? If there is no need, then something without realization will not intervene. Therefore, the cause is only consciousness, which is reasonable. In this way, if you rely on the Samkhya system to negate Ishvara, and Samkhyas themselves boast that their system is good, then it is said that Prakriti itself becomes the cause. To show that even though Prakriti does not have consciousness, it is unreasonable to be a cause, it is said, "To this, it is said thus." If "following" means admitting to follow, then, depending on the situation, this is to establish the cause that has that nature. Because happiness and so on are things, why not admit that its own nature of things is the cause? Purushas are also conscious things, why not admit their nature of consciousness or the nature of things as the cause for them? In this way, admitting Prakriti as the cause is stating a very excessive inference. Now, to show that it is not its cause, it is said, "Truly speaking." All shapes and so on are gathered in that Prakriti. What is the reason for that? Because it is said, "With all powers, it is of the nature." This is only a slight indication of permanence and so on. The answer is "unseen" and so on. That Prakriti, which is beyond the senses, is such a cause, which cannot be established by valid cognition. The so-called "such" means having the nature of permanence and so on. To this, first, to show that it is not permanent, it is said, "The effect is from another effect." Whatever is an effect is preceded by another effect, like another effect. All of this is also an effect. Therefore, it is thought that Prakriti is not permanent. The cause without a cause and so on is an explanation. Because the cause without a cause is not seen, it is only by following the nature of what is seen that Prakriti can be established as the cause. To show that this is established in others in a completely established way, the word of conjecture is used.

The doubt that the independent principal without cause is established as the earth element only because it follows the nature of the object is called "However, those." If someone says that, is it because he sees it that way? The answer is: pots, bowls, etc. The answer is: that is not it either. "Courage, etc." means courage, dust, darkness, etc. "Persons, etc." means selves. In any case, if one wants to shape the treatise, one says so. Courage, etc., persons, etc., mountains, etc., because they follow reality, they exist only in the cause of the nature of reality, and it is thought that that is the lord. "Three qualities, etc., nature" means the nature of happiness, etc. Why is it not established? Because it follows reality itself. "Reality, reality," etc. is the explanation. The refuter states another view, i.e., "from the nature of destruction, etc." "Destruction, etc." means collecting all things. "If that is the case" is what others have said. If one looks at this and that result and follows the nature of this and that cause, then it is only considered to be the nature of the three qualities, that is its meaning. The answer is: that does not exist. "Fruit by nature" means that one's own nature follows the cause and the non-cause, but not in all aspects, not in appearance and ability, etc. To show that this is only established by direct perception, i.e., "from fire, etc. becoming other." The explanation is: who by what, etc. "Who" means the result, its cause is it. What follows the cause, and what follows the negation, i.e., what follows the cause and the negation. "It is not its nature" means that the result is not of the nature of following the appearance and ability of the cause. If so, what fault would one think there is? If so, it was said.
