It is called "that." Furthermore, "this" refers to the path taught by the Buddha. It has already been explained by those who assert philosophical tenets, so it is said. The path is the nature of seeing and cultivating. "Those" refers to Ishvara and Vishnu, and so on. Seeing the absence of self is the path of seeing. Reason is the path of cultivation, and because they lack these, they are not valid cognitions. If they themselves do not see, then are they not valid cognitions? If you think so, then it is said. Why? It is said to be a proximate indication. Then, who is the valid cognition other than that? It is said to be the Bhagavan. Therefore, it is because this itself sees the path, it is the characteristic of what is said. Another explanation of the word "savior" is, or savior. This is because it is not common, so it is not saving others, so it is thought. Or, because after explaining in accordance with the rule of the first verse, it is explained in a way that does not conform to the rule. Again, explaining the meaning of the word "savior" is, or savior. The explanation is, or, truth. If in treatises on reasoning and so on, regarding the body and so on, which are without self, as having self, and also regarding all common forms and so on as his, that is, clinging to them as mine in a non-common way, is the cause of suffering. Seeing the opposite of this is the cause of liberation, and so on, has it not already been indicated? Then, how can it be said that indicating the truth is non-common? To dispel such doubts, it is said, if again. To indicate is to make clear. If this path also does not conform to the reality of things in reason, then what is so particularly excellent, by what, by what is it said that this alone is the path? Then, indicating that even in the firm view of "I," only seeing the aggregates and so on as without self is the antidote to desire and so on, but clinging to self is not, because there is no contradiction. It is said, this path is. If suffering has four aspects: impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness, it is also referred to by the aspect of suffering.

Because of doubting what this was for, it was said, "These are also by name," in order to abandon it, seeking a method, that would become disheartened, indeed, not only because that is its very nature. If asked how, it is said, for example. In general, it is explained that: the causes and conditions and the various forms of complete arising, and the forms of describing cessation, such as peace, excellence, and definite arising, etc., and the forms of describing the path, also including reason, practice, and the various forms of definite production. Among them, first, the truth of suffering is explained, what is called suffering is what needs to be proven. Going and revolving is samsara, it is the continuum of birth and death. Those in whom it exists are the samsaric ones. This is the reason. What is called aggregates is the subject. If you wonder how the very nature of samsaric beings is established, it is said, from habit. Because from the habit of mind contained in actions, the distinction of the manifestation of desire etc. is seen as special. What arises from another is not that which is distinguished by certainty. It is not arbitrarily born suddenly, because the arising of fruit is contradictory, because it does not exist. If there is no cause, then the fruit will not arise, so it will become eternally non-existent. Or, without cause, that is, arising from the absence of the entity of cause is contradictory, because it does not exist, so it will become eternally existent. The speaker said that the very nature of samsaric beings is contradictory to the very nature of suffering, because the reverse is pervasive, so it is said that if desire etc. are the cause of happiness, then it will follow happiness. Then, if it is thought how the body etc. are happiness, it is said, desire and hatred etc. What is called "suchness" is called happiness because it is the cause of happiness. Therefore, because everything is the very cause of happiness. What is taught is the explanation of the truth of suffering. Among them, the aspect of happiness is not contradictory to the aspect of suffering, because they exist together. However, it is uncertain, like food with poison, it is suffering.
