It is the place to measure oneself. Therefore, it is to know that things have a meaningful connection. Thus, this is because it is related to its own meaning, so habits are not obstacles, as it is said. Therefore, the Blessed One is also non-existent, as it is said, meaning "other." Therefore, "therefore" shows the clarity arising from the means of diligent practice. Although it exists, but because it has its own meaning, thinking about why to be diligent, it is said, "Great Hero." In whom is there the matter of entering into benefiting others, that is it. Because it is an obstacle to benefiting others, this is undoubtedly the only thing to do, that is its meaning. What is this difference, it is the rhinoceros horn and so on, the difference that is different from the solitary Buddha and so on who enter into self-interest. He has complete knowledge of all faults, but he is completely realized. How to transform thinking, saying, "For those who are pleasing to sentient beings." Faults are the nature of habits. Therefore, "therefore" is because it is a harmer. That "that" is a fault. Suffering such as heat and cold is also the habit of the essence of attachment to holding on to self and what belongs to self, is it for those who have hatred, or only for the collection of objects? Because it becomes one taste of happiness and so on at all times, as it is said, it also means heat and cold and so on. The word "etc." means thirst and so on. For those who are accustomed to inversion, it is those who have the habit of the essence of attachment to holding on to self and what belongs to self, or those who cannot prevent heat and cold and so on, only arise in them. Otherwise, it is not, it is for those who are far from practicing them. Where does this come from? As it is said, "Like this." When, the previous teacher, made by abundant food and drink and so on, when it is related to and has it, hunger and thirst and diseases and so on do not arise. How is the previous teacher? It is said, "With the nature of gods and so on." Because he was born in the gods and so on who enjoy in the realm of form. Thus, how is it related to him? It is said, "Remembering birth." Hunger and thirst etc.

Just like seeds and sprouts, it does not arise merely from external causes, but is related to the one who follows habit and acts against it. When it is said, it means 'also'. A person who eats three times a day, due to habit, will live more comfortably than one who eats twice. A person who eats twice can also attain a comfortable life by eating once. The occasion of 'never changing' refers to the Blessed One. If it arises merely from the outside like seeds and sprouts, what fault would there be? It is said, 'If'. If things like grains depend on objects, then what is accomplished by habit will not depend on habit. From the perspective of engaging in the benefit of others, it should be like this, and habit should be realized. To conclude, it is said, 'Therefore'. Because it contradicts the views of previous teachers, to dispel the doubt of not having everything, it is said, 'If the teacher'. Combination is everything, because it is manifestation, and the habit of means is also different, so it is contradictory. Previous teachers closely established the habit of means as manifestation, so it is said, 'The habit of means is this'. With the definite grasp of 'this', is regarding the body and senses as self a means? Or is regarding oneself as suffering in the three realms a cause for abandoning meditation, so it is a means? This is to dispel other views. This is unreasonable, and it will be manifested later. Where does this habit of means come from? Because it is manifestation. If manifestation is the result, and means is not the cause? It is said, 'Because of that meaning'. Because it is the meaning of manifestation. Because it is the cause of manifestation, this is the habit of means, not other desires, because it is not that cause. Where does this distinction come from? It is said, 'From accomplishment'. Because it existed before from the Sugata himself. Like the ear of accomplishment, what can be closely established with the sound of manifestation is this, not others.
