So, what is considered the domain of valid cognition (pramāṇa)? It is called "from consciousness itself (rnam par shes pa nyid las)." From the nature of habituation. What is called "consciousness (rnam shes)" is the nature of attachment. What is called "by what (gang gis)" is because it possesses discrimination. What is called "however ('on te)" is of others. What is called "consciousness from the body (lus las rnam shes)" is the answer. Regarding "doubt without reason is also not": If it were so in other schools, but in the Buddhist school, since there is no establishment or harm written by discrimination, isn't it a situation that creates doubt? Then how could it be without reason? That is unreasonable. Because neither aspect is established. To show that "because it is the harmer itself," the latter half of "from consciousness itself, consciousness arises" is explained as "attachment falls to one side." That arising is the arising of falling to one side. Therefore, the determiner of consciousness itself arises through habituation. What is called "if (gal te)" is of others. How is it unreasonable? Because it is said that it is not the nature of attachment. If the one adorned on the other shore is also like that? It is called "for whom there is no other world." Although there are many sense consciousnesses, whatever the arising of one consciousness is, that is only from habituation, it has been established. Therefore, what is called "therefore (des na)" is because the arising of other consciousnesses is not prevented. Except for the continuum of the first arising consciousness, when it also arises like that from the body of ability, it becomes an aggregate, which is called "the ultimate of the state." What is called "that is invisible" is prevention. Because in one's lifetime, one sees a single discriminating consciousness. What is called "however ('on te)" is of others. What is called "becoming later" is from the soft one. The state of the first soft one itself is the producer of mind. The word "only," called "merely ('ba' zhig)," this is to be looked at below. It is merely non-existent. How so? Because it is said "to benefit." From some, the first moment arises, but the continuum of mind depends on the body.
